The “phantom hold” call on the Daniels run referenced by the poster on Vilenation was so obvious I called it before the flag came out.
That was actually Tiger Droppings, not Vol Nation. But yeah that’s what made me laugh so much. There were 2 blatant holds on that run but homeboy can’t even admit it.

I finally got to watch the whole game.
JM and the offensive line have made great progress.
I was pleasantly surprised/pleased at JM dumping off some throws and being able to hit passes over the middle and such.
JM also had a great game using his legs.
He looked a lot more decisive in his passing and the rpo stuff. Very glad he has made progress.
Oline looked good last night as well. Gave JM time and opened up holes for JM and the RBs.
I hear what some are saying about the defense not being able to contain JD but who has this year? JD is a great talent.
If we keep giving this kind of effort we should be able to win out and have a strong case for a playoff spot.

Man, I hate most CFB fans (especially in the SEC) . Like the tenneesse fans, the louisiana fans are whining non-stop abut the officiating.

Such emotionally weak, whiny people - every time they lose.

Most CFB fans are just soft.
Well to be fair… Many Alabama fans are just as guilty of it. They just don’t use the “well the sec offices are in Birmingham” line attached to it.

The only time I recall getting on here and blaming the refs for a loss was after the Ucheat game last year. I may gripe about a call but a call but that Ucheat game took it to another level.

I know I have complained about refs live and maybe 24hrs after the game as much as the other guy, but usually I take the “well we put ourselves in that situation by not playing well” attitude towards it. I just don’t understand why every time we beat someone we are the greatest team ever and everytime we lose it’s because of injuries and refs for some people.

I will say however…. The one exception that I still take issue with is the last play of the 1st half of the 2019 IB. Allowing Auburn time to set up a FG in which there was no way they could have ever been able to under live circumstances is just a bad call that affected the game.

The Aubs must cast a voodoo spell on the refs before the games at Jerkin Hare

Football is a mans game played by young men. Football is a violent sport, that's why everyone wears pads. Injuries are also a part of Football. The fact that Daniel's was injured happened late in the game when LSU was 14 points behind.
Turner was attempting to tackle Daniels. Turner ran full speed and launched himself into Daniels. Daniels was able to get a pass off right before the collision occurred. This was a violent 'Old School' type tackle. Turner hit him head on going full speed. Turner's tackle was a Textbook wrap em up tackle. Turner's head was up, he did not spear Daniel's.
I hate that Daniel's was injured, but injuries do occur in a fast action game like football.

Was it hard to adjust to Milroe's QB-draws on third-downs?

"I don't think they were draws as much as they were, yeah they were much more scrambling situations. Again, you've seen it on both sides of the ball. You've watched Jayden in terms of scrambling. You know, you're in a very difficult situation there. If you're dropping eight, you know you're rushing three, there's big holes, if you're spying you're short in coverage. We're fighting our tails off to get stops out there. It's just a difficult situation when you have a quarterback that's gifted like that."
I will say this... I was right they would try and play lot of mixed coverage/man to man. LSU DBs did decent job defending Burton and others. I was real impressed with Burns. BUt still, we should've had at least a deep pass play at some point, but kudo to LSU for coming up with good game plan. BOth teams on both side played well. THe momentum shifted when Daniels got hurt.

Jalen Milroe played great in the game. He had a few head scratching passes, but he made up for those with several outstanding plays. The defense made several huge stops in the second half. Forcing the punt was the biggest and the interception was the icing on the cake. I stated if we keep them under 30, we would be sitting pretty and I am glad I was correct!

I thought Turner's hit on Daniels was targeting in real time and I still think it could have been called, but I also don't think it was a dirty play.

I can also see how it wasn't called targeting, but simply roughing the passer.

The targeting rule seems to nearly impossible to call consistently.

I do think that if this game had been played at LSU Turner would have been ejected.

I guess the algorithm of whatever polices foul language read my post saying that Turner's "hit" on Daniels was actually a dirty word.
