The offensive line got out to a bad start but seemed to finally get things figured out by the last offensive series of the first half. They had a few mess-ups in the 2nd half but not like the many complete misses that took place early in the game.

It looked to me like it the ground right in front of Milroe's hands. He had to take his eyes off the defense to field it.

I've rewatched the last play several times; I don't see that snap being as bad as many are making it out to be. The snap was a little low but there was no difficulty in handling it. Milroe took off for the line of scrimmage immediately.

Hate to break it to you but Reec was not the problem.
Reec helped get us here.

Our OL regressed in the month off, Milroe regressed in the month off.
Our Defense seemed to regress also.
A close friend had a son that played OL at UK under Wofford. They were all pumped up when he came to UK from USCe. Turned out he was all hat and no cattle. Average at best and had excuses for everything. Found out later they didn’t “steal him” from USCe. They were about to move him to an off field position or turn him loose completely.

I had high hopes for him. But the past two years have been underwhelming.

It was apparent that CNS felt that Alabama had to play the best players to have a chance when he put in Haynes early. He showed that he is head and shoulders above the other RBs, though Jase did a nice job but he is not Haynes. Then when it looked like Bama got control of the game CNS went back to his “old reliables”.

He is likely going to do that at the QB position next year. He has always done that. Sometimes there’s validity to it and many of his teams have provided a cushion to allow it, but it bit him today and may next year at QB.

IMO, most, if not all, coaches do this to some degree - some situations are almost impossible.

Haynes is big time.

How do you know this? From everything Coach Saban says it sounds like the called play was what we got..
Because the play design was for Williams to motion and pull the middle linebacker out of the box, which he did and we ran counter action which was wide open to the left. Instead Milroe, ducks his head and ran into the back of the OLine. Take a look on Twitter. There's several people showing the actual (ALL 22) play design and where it was supposed to go.

Honestly watching Penix right now idk that we would have the offense to beat Washington. Dude is throwing dimes
Would have been nice to get a shot but Washington is winning it all IMO. Best college QB performance since scam or Vince or Winston. Our boys are up there too but they had a crap ton of talent around them.

Yup ... and when he recovered it, the defender was barreling down at him from the left. So that pretty much blew up the play as well. Had to be a quick pop out to the receiver for it to work.

The ball didn't hit the ground. I guess it was more than "a little low" but was still directly in front of Milroe and was not a big enough distraction to blow the play up like many are indicating.

No way. It was a terrible play call. There was nothing in the middle. A small seem to the left but Jalen isn't physical enough to exploit that. Maybe 22 could muscle it through. Busted play.

Has he become the Pete Golding of coaches?

It was a bad play call period. A DESIGNED run, from 5 yards out, with the game on the line…whether it be left or right, or God forbid right up the dang middle.. 🤬
