I think you're wrong. J Williams wanted to go back in the second half from what I heard, it was Saban's call to pull him out citing NFL future.
You never open your mouth, unless you can back it up.
My daughter's color guard sponsor and instructor has a Freshmen who is in The Million Dollar Band. She called her mom after the game on Monday night and said they were pelted by water bottles and other objects by the uga crowd both during their pregame and halftime performances. On the telecast, I remember seeing things being thrown on the field after a call. This behavior needs to be dealt with at these venues and I don't care what fanbase even if it's our own.
i have some wonderful friends who are uga folks. but as a whole, there is a reason that a lot of folks consider that fan base to be trash.
they show time and time again that they have no home learning.
Our lone Georgia fan posting here is the only decent one I've ever encountered.
The ones I encountered on our vacation in Pigeon Forge in late December were snide despite being subdued since we had just beat the hell out of them in Atlanta.
I have grown to dislike them more than Auburn and Tennessee because of this.

Well, now they have tasted what it's like to be the top dawg (pun intended).
I'm not very familiar with their DC, but the vibe I get is they'll have a lot of attrition (if nothing else 5 or 6 1st rounders in the draft) so it'll be interesting to see what kind of team they'll have next year.
Even more interesting will be "how they handle success." Most teams struggle with it. It's why you rarely see a team win back to back NCs. Shoot, even with the GOAT, we struggle with it. I suspect Georgia's team AND fans will struggle with success and if next year doesn't go well (if they lose a game or two) the meltdown will be kinda fun to watch.
They had 8 Senior starters on defense. I can't wait to see them in ATL next year.

they have another cakewalk schedule next year too. they have the barn and the mississippi barn from the west. outside of oregon, they don't have anything on their schedule that looks like much.
If playoffs and bowl games can be played at venues with natural grass, then that could help address some player non-contact injury concerns.
It's now being reported on ESPN he has a torn ACL. Regardless of whose call it was for him not to go back in, it was the right one.

There was just a high profile incident in the nfl with injuries and playing in the nfl for a wr. That combined with all of the “ should you play in bowl games or not”, has made this a hot topic already.
Hopefully this does not knock him out of the first round in the draft and cost him lots of money, etc. as ACL injuries, ACL surgery and recovery have made leaps and bounds, are not the same career ender that they once were.

Our resident robocop tidehsv can attest to that. That poor man has had more surgeries and aftermarket parts than heidi montag, cher, pamela anderson, and michael jackson combined.

just teasing lol.Sorry but an additional comment. Coach Saban and the med staff decided not to let him play. The decision was made and referenced by Coach Saban in his post game interviews, which is another reason I suggested watching the postgame interviews. He specifically addressed jamo and how much he had already given to the team all year and that he had a future in football ie not worth the risk.
We are not talking about the backstreet boys subway bowl this was the national championship game. I wonder how many coaches and or teams would have let him play? Or would allow an injured player, not jamo per se but any player, to put their nfl future at risk?
