You and a few more have bashed Milroe since preseason last year. Most people on here are TIRED of the crap. I’ll at least give you credit for coming on here tonight. Most are curled up in the fetal position lamenting all of the things they have posted. Is Milroe perfect? No. Is he a competitor that has worked his ass off to improve? Yes.
Oh shut up. I never said anything about him tonight.

I watched the highlight plays on YTTV and it seemed like UGA had success in the air against us. It does seem fitting that we got out to a big lead and then took our foot off the gas. Vintage Saban lol.
See PA Tide Fan above. We really controlled UGA until their second possession of the second half. Our O went 3 and out basically the entire 2nd half which didn’t help, and UGA converted an ungodly number of 4th downs to stay in the game. Many of which we stopped but then some penalty game them the first.

Anyways it was just a really weird 2nd half. I’m not entirely sure why the O disappeared but mainly I think it was playcalling- we didn’t adjust to adjustments at all. That was our biggest problem. Despite giving up almost 28 unanswered points in the half, I actually thought the D played really well. Like I said, just a weird game.

I’m watching now. You couldn’t ask for a better 1st quarter.

The first 3 games there were receivers who consistently got behind our DBs , but the QBs we played against all stunk and didn’t get them the ball. Tonight that was exposed a bit. But our guys are really young, and made a great play at the end to win the game, in addition to two other INTs. They’ll keep learning.

Also, don‘t discount the fact that UGA was forced to go for it on 4th down over and over, and converted them all. It had to have been 7 or 8 times, when you count penalties that turned into 1st downs. In a closer game, not at the very end, that equals 7 or 8 punts. Never stopping them was sad, but getting to 4th down was good!

I’m really happy with the win!

I didn’t get to watch much of the game because I had a family emergency, but I watched the 4th quarter. Every team on our schedule is just going to chuck it deep against us every play.
Hope everyone is ok over there.

The DBs were mostly in position all night, lots of pass break ups. More than I've seen in a game in a while. 4th quarter, because the offense went into a shell and UGA kept going for it on 4th down and making it....our dudes were gassed.

I'm not in the fetal position and I certainly don't lament anything I've posted about Milroe.

I've said he improved....he still needs some more improvement, but he obviously has worked on some things and it showed a little tonight. Second half film needs to be reviewed and worked on though....he disappeared for much of the second half.

It's hard and most teams struggle defending a QB who is throwing dimes and running through your defense like a bad case of diarrhea.
For sure. It’s just crazy that he hasn’t figured it out after all these years. Like, not even enough to slow them down. I get that it’s not really a huge revelation to say “Kirby Smart struggles against elite QBs”. I mean, who doesn’t? It just seems like dual threat guys are his Achilles heel.

Kalen DeBoer is the only active coach to defeat Kirby Smart while still at their current school. Gus Malzahn, Tom Herman, Derek Mason, Butch Jones, and Hugh Freeze all have new jobs since beating Smart.
