And if that happens the SEC should cancel all scheduled out-of-conference games going forward, book the academies (or equivalents) as OOC and eliminate the SECCG. Won't happen but should.

Likely won't happen but you know what likely will? When the CFP contract comes up for renewal the big stick will be swung.

Honestly, if the committee punishes Bama for losing the SECCG after their stance last year of not dropping a team due to the extra game results, I'd be surprised if it didn't accelerate the eventual outcome we all know is coming - the SEC and B1G form a super-conference and pull some select teams from the rest of the country and effectively kill the CFP as we know it.

Oh, I've no idea if the committee will put Bama in, I'm just saying the team is walking wounded right now and a couple of weeks could make a significant difference in what we see from them.

I've no idea what to expect tomorrow. It seems that the actual results against real teams mean less than random stats pulled out of the air to this committee.

Yet another reason I never wanted to replace the BCS.

If only there was a 4 team playoff, we could get rid of all this uncertainty....

11th or 12th place in the playoff is going to Tulane as they are the fourth-highest ranked conference champion.

The big game is Duke and UVA in the ACC title game. If Duke wins then JMU will get the the No. 12 seed as its fifth and final conference champion.

Freaking JMU will get in over Bama, ponder that one.

So given that we’re Alabama, it’s better to be out because we don’t have a chance to win than to be in?

Yeah, earlier in the season I praised him. But as the season has progressed that is gone. Man, I know some high school coordinators that can call better games

I was fine with the BCS, never liked the four team playoff as I knew it would lead to this, and the reality is most years anyone ranked third had no real claim to being 'the best'.

But they had to NFL college football, so here we are. Lots of mediocre teams fighting over scraps.

I think the committee set a strong precedent last year for not punishing CG losers. They don’t want to disincentivize teams from playing these games that make a lot of money.

IMO they specifically moved us ahead of ND to make it clear they were on the bubble and we weren’t.

Playing this game wouldn’t have gotten us a bye then it was no reason to play. We hurt ourselves with this lackluster performance

We have no business in the playoff.

No offense to speak of.....terrible play calls....a QB that's a shell of what he was earlier in the season....and absolute shell of a team.

Defense does fine and is championship caliber. Offense is putrid....OL.....OC.....RBs......the whole works.

That 4th and 2 call has me so disgusted with that entire offense, I don't care about making the playoff...just to lose.

I’d rather lose in the playoffs than to take another loss to meat chicken in the Zim’s Crack Creme Bowl.
