According to the guide on my TV, we have something new, (at least to me), this year. The SEC Network listing shows it showing the BAMA game, with "Alabama's radio announcers". That's something new for me as I can watch the game with Eli on the call.

If they do it like last time, the viewing screen will be reduced.

I met up with 81 here in DFW yesterday. We went to the George W Bush Library (and a few other places), and the greeter at the library told us that Cincinnati fans were outnumbering Alabama fans. That MAY have been true there, I don't know. OTOH, Alabama and Cincy fans were both filling Dealey Plaza (where Pres Kennedy was killed for those who don't know), and it looked to me like a few more Tide fans on the grassy knoll than Bearcat fans FWIW. (We were doing our version of that old "Roll Tide" commercial on ESPN, ha ha).

It stands to reason, though, that Cincy fans would likely outnumber us. A number of Tide fans are waiting (anticipating??) the next round, and this is like the time the San Diego Chargers made the Super Bowl against the 49ers. Most of their fans thought "look, we're probably gonna lose but you never know, and this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Great fans btw - on both sides from everything I could see. (Didn't care much for the authors hawking their books on the sight of the most famous murder in American history but I digress).

I thought the museum was meh until I looked out “the” window. Then you can get a real grasp of the marksmanship involved.
Yeah, that's why 81 and I didn't go up there. I've been there, and that's the sole "chill moment," but we had time for either one or the other for full visit, I'd never been to the Bush Library (highly recommended btw), and of course they have that area in a glass case. Years ago they wouldn't let you take pictures there, but I'm sure the invention of the phone has altered that a bit.

I'm an "interested party in the subject of that assassination," but I always say that the free tour looking at the area and knowing the basics is the better part.

Thx for sharing btw.
