I woke my fiancée up this morning around 5am this morning and screamed " It is time to win the championship baby!" I walked around the house all pumped up until she came up to me and told me if I don't cut it out, I'll regret it.
Wow... Sounds like she's not fully bought into the process. Doesn't she know if it means something to you, you can't stand still?

Here's hoping I can make it through the game without turning off the tv. I give myself about a 13% chance. An illegal procedure at a critical moment is all it takes to do me in before I resort to knitting, give the impression to my wife that I have finally grown up and my mind is elsewhere (to her great delight), only to turn the tv back on in fifteen minutes and try it again. There's no hope for me. 😕

There are so many red flags in this post I have no idea where to start... :-/

Does anybody else get super nervous and anxious right before the kickoff and then settle down as soon as the first drive starts?

What is this "settle down" of which you speak? French?

Btw, in case you guys hadn't heard, the reason Jacobs missed practice last week was an excused absence for the birth of his second child. He asked that the school not publicise it because "I didn't want to be a distraction for the team."

I'm gonna miss him when he leaves us this year...

When I feel my heart pounding it tells me that I have to settle down a bit or else!

I'll be able to settle down if Alabama gets a big lead (3+ scores), and trends in the direction of controlling the game. However, I know Clemson can come back quickly if Alabama doesn't stay focused on the task at hand.

I get super nervous and stay so until the clock hits 00:00. I try to talk myself down by reminding myself it's just a game, it won't affect my life in a negative way if we lose. This helps a lot, but then the anxiety starts to come back. So, I just have to keep talking myself down repeatedly until the game is over. My mother used to record the games and not watch until they were over, and that helped her. It's crazy, I know the games shouldn't affect me this way, but I just can't help it.

This game is causing me to be completely unproductive at work today. Feels bigger than the last couple NCG for some reason.
