I certainly hope that Bama fans never, ever do this, it is totally classless.

I bet at least one of the e-mails was from Brent Mushburger.

Ohio State TE receives hate e-mail
Ohio State tight end Ryan Hamby has received a couple of hate letters since dropping a sure touchdown pass during the Buckeyes' loss to Texas last week.

Cutting over the middle into the end zone, Hamby was open when Justin Zwick's pass bounced off his chest and into the air. He had a second chance to grab it but was slammed by a defender just as the ball touched his hands.

Well, FYI there was a truckload of hate mail sent to one of our fomer coaches who dropped the ball, or was it rope, on us. He's out in College Station now looking at the possibility of another truck pulling up in his driveway compliments of the A&M crowd. LOL

Spot, due to the board's recent enforcement policy on profanity and vulgarity, I can't comment on your post. :cool2:

Everyone has some bad apples but Ohio State fans are getting some bad publicity lately. In visiting other boards most of the Texas fans who went to the game reported having a very bad experience with OSU fans. There were reports that their elderly and female fans were subjected to verbal abuse, and several reported they actually felt for their safety. Now this makes the news. Hopefully, it was just a few bad e-mails because no athlete deserves that, especially a college kid.

A Texas grad co-worker had a friend go to the game. This friend attended the game with wife and kids plus another guy who was an ex-NFL lineman for the Seahawks. At one point in the 3rd qtr they got up to go to the bathroom. The profanity was so awful that the ex-NFL lineman asked the group to leave the game before anyone got hurt - by him that is. The worst part of it all was a lot of the verbal abuse game from the females. (I don't think he would hit a woman though.)

They ended up watching the game at a sports bar near the stadium. The stadium grew quiet when Texas went ahead late in the 4th. At this point, for safety reasons, they decided to leave before the OSU fans left.

OSU fans are pathetic. I hope we never play them, unless of course it's for the NC!

HSV...sometimes its hard reading what you guys let thru. Did the tightend drop the pass on purpose? Every person who has ever played a sport has done something that they wish it didn't happen. Against Michigan we shoud have went for two. Give it to Shaun! I know...I need to let it go, sorry.

That was the report I got from people who went to the game, and was my observation at the Alamo Bowl last year.

Hey MikeUA69, it was actually the 2000 Orange Bowl, it was for the 99 season but when a bowl game is played after the first of the year it is always the year it is played in game. I hate when people nitpick and correct people over stupid stuff and calling it 99 Orange Bowl is not that bad but it is incorrect. By the way guys the Michigan fans were aweful at that game, i was there and we had a couple of bad incidents with them but I know people who had some really bad incidents.
