1. FSU
2. Oregon
3. Bama
4. TCU
5. Miss State
6. Baylor
7. OSU

The reason I think they move FSU back to 1 is because Oregon had a bye. Committee, so far, doesn't seem to like moving a team up during a bye week. If Oregon wins next week, they'll jump FSU again.

For one, the committee's rankings. Secondly, we've had a few more close calls than Oregon. Besides, I don't care who's #1 until the end of the year. I just care that we're in the top 4.
I think the PAC whatever has gotten more love from the committee than most reasonable people would think they deserve. Close calls are relative. IMO a close call against MSU or LSU is a different result than a close call against Cal or Wash. St. But I'm biased.:)

Edit after "dislikes":

Don't kill the messenger! Just what I predict, not what I would like to see.

If Bama and MSU win out, and there is a huge outcry for a rematch, I fully expect the final ranking to have them at 1-4 or 2-3 and playing in the Sugar Bowl.

What I think some of you are failing to consider is that the committee wants a specific matchup. They want to see Bama and Oregon play.

Thusly it'll be:
1.)F$U & 4.)TCU
2.)Bama & 3.)Quacks

This is how I view the committee that is ranking and choosing the teams for the playoffs. I prefer to call them the brain trust. This is link to a clip from the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou".

IMHO this idea of the playoff and how this all has evolved ,is as comical as this movie is. For those of you who have seen the entire movie you will understand why I call the playoff committee the brain trust just like to soggy bottom boys are the governors brain trust.

1. FSU - 26 game winning streak
2. Alabama - We just beat the #1 team!!!!!!! RTR!!!!!!! We just need to beat Western Carolina, the Barn and Mizzou or Gawga. But, ONE game at a time. I am concerned right now about Western Carolina!?
3. Oregon - I could be wrong, but I think Dak is a better QB than Mariota!
4. Mississippi State - I would prefer to see them DROP farther! I do NOT want to play them in the Playoffs. I saw enough of them today! If we played them in the Sugar Bowl, there would be lots of cow bells!
5. Arizona State
6. tOSU (They keep moving UP! I'm not sure they can beat Wisconsin in B1G 10+4 CG!)
7. Baylor (They beat TCU!)
8. TCU (They barely beat one of the worst teams in college football today!)
9. Western Carolina

This is what I see the poll looking like Tuesday:
1) Oregon
2) Florida State
3) Alabama
4) Arizona State
5) TCU
6) Mississippi State
7) Ohio State (they leap frog an idle Baylor and Ohio State seems to be the "trendy" pick right now)
8) Baylor

You could probably switch us and FSU around, but FSU keeps winning despite the weak ... teams they keep barely beating.

I think you are about right about the standings, and I also don't want to play Miss State again (those guys are good)

It will be no different than last year. They won't choose matchups based on what people want. They'll choose matchups based on how much money it will bring in. They had a chance to match up Bama and Oregon last year and instead opted for the boring Oklahoma Sooners, for no other reason than because of money.

On to the rankings. Hope to see:

1. FSU
2. Bama
3. Oregon
4. Don't know, don't care

Will probably be:

1. Bama
2. Oregon
3. FSU
4. Again, I don't really care.

Our guys don't need to be moving up to number 1 on a bye week. That's risking complacency, sense of entitlement and overextended egos.

All I know is that FSU is a 3/4 loss team disguised as a undefeated team. I couldn't give a crap about their little winning streak because 80% comes from beating up ACC teams that suck. Keeping them @ three behind Alabama and Oregon is what they deserve.

Bama
Oregon
FSU
MSU--the good team, not the Big 10 team.

My predictions for this week are:

1. FSU (They find a way to win, like it or not even if their schedule is soft but they are still undefeated)
2. Bama (Our resume speaks for itself...only loss was a close one on the road)
3. Mississippi State (Only loss so far was on the road, closer than it should have been though)
4. Oregon (Close loss, but it was at home, and they seem to be possibly the most improved team after their loss)

What it will probably be.

1. FSU
2. Oregon
3. Alabama
4. Ohio State
5. Fail State
6. Baylor
7. TCU
8. Ole Miss
9. Georgia

What it should be (if you try not to be biased toward the SEC. But you could argue that coming from the conference they play in, all 4 SEC teams in contention could beat the out of conference teams in contention.)

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. FSU
4. Fail State
5. Baylor
6. TCU
7. Ohio State
8. Ole Miss
9. Georgia

*These are really the only 9 teams left in contention after Saturday.)
