Ole Miss fans will always resent Bama. How could they not? Mississippi should be a bastion of athleticism, but they simply can't hold on to the best talent. Think about it, Bama and other SEC schools have recruited very well out of Mississippi for decades, then WON. If Ole Miss could hold on to that talent and lock down the instate recruiting, and see Nutt do what he does, they could have a very respectable program.

Think about it. Arguably the best quarterback, runningback, and wide receiver in NFL history (Brett Favre, Walter Peyton, and Jerry Rice) all came out of Mississippi. That little bit of trivia alone says a LOT about the homegrown talent in MS.

Ahh they hate everyone that is successful. They especially hate Auburn since ole Tubbs was successful over there.

They are kinda strange group not nearly as odd as Arkansas. Still they got some good tailgating and well the eye candy is top notch lol.

Or it could be something in the water over there because the USM fans are just about as bad. We're 35-5-2 all-time against them, but they make out like all our wins were the result of bad officiating.

Oh man...USM types are far worse in my experience. My H'burg experience w/ the fan bases is what actually switched my instate allegiance from USM to UM, w/ MSU not on the radar screen (all of which are light years behind my true allegiance, mind you). The USM types retired the whining trophy some years ago. They're the worst. Even when their own HC agrees w/ a call vs. us, they're still whining about it. MSU types are generally meek & quiet when things are normal for them (see this year). But let them experience any sniff of success, and God help you if you have to be around them; completely insufferable.

So compared to those 2 groups, the UM fans are great, in my experience. Yeah, they hate us, but as noted, getting owned for multiple generations would tend to do that.

My boss is a OM grad, and he pulls for everyone that plays Bama, even Miss. St. To have fun with him, I put the play at the end of last years game as my screen saver. My desk is the first one when you walk into our office. Our administrative assistant was the first to see it and started laughing as soon as she walked in. Needless to say when he walked in that morning the first words were "Bama cheats again". He saw my screen saver and just walked to his desk. It was pretty funny cause everyone said "He is going to fire you", but I knew he wouldn't. Although he would talk to me for a couple of days.
