Yall…these targeting calls. That was when others werent. That aint right.

Agree on the inconsistency of interpretation on the field.

The targeting rule is designed to protect both players. Lots of TEs, WRs, RBs and QBs have sustained concussions and worse. But lots of defensive players have suffered spinal injuries as well.

The intent is good. The enforcement would be tough under any circumstances, and is made harder by the inconsistency in rulings….what is targeting and what isn’t seems to change at random, even for the same officiating crew within the same game.
