Ya know, it's obvious that Croom has a big chip on his shoulder when it comes to Bama - and who could blame him. He's said some things that have shown a character flaw --- but who doesn't have them?

That said, it's hard not to be impressed with what he's done at MSU. Kudos to him and his staff. Our team could do well to see the emotion and enthusiasm that State played with in the fourth quarter. There was no quit in them and when the game was on the line, there was no doubt who was going to go the distance and make the play. And they are not talented at all.

Good season, Bulldogs!

You know Perkins was hand picked by Coach Bryant. Who do you think Coach Bryant would've picked during the Coaching search after Price? I say he would've have picked Sly. But then again, I'm happy we have Saban!

Folks how can you not be happy for Coach C. He may be at another school but he is still an Alabama man and I am happy for him.
Were you equally happy about Alabama man Jackie Sherrill creating the punk environment that CSC has had to clean up? Just curious.

I like SC personally and want him to succeed. The doggie fans? Not so much. OK, not at all...

Assuming that O's gone, then so much the better for UM. But I was cheering for the Rebs today, solely because of the dog fans I know around here. Oh well...

Well, this football weekend isn't shaping up to be a good one. I haven't made my feelings toward MSU a secret (the Barner-Cowbell game being the only game in which I pull for Auburn), so there's no need to reiterate them here.

Regardless, even if I didn't hate MSU with a passion and even if I wish someone would teach Croom how to keep his fat piehole shut, this significantly impacts our chance to go bowling should we lose to Auburn.

Ogre's decision to go for that fourth down around midfield when they were up 14-0 single handedly cost them that game IMO. That was one of the dumbest coaching decisions I've seen in a long time. I turned to my friend right after they got stuffed on the play and said that that would get OM right back into the game and sure enough it happened. That was moronic.

If CNS doesn't work out for some reason, would Alabama pass on him again?

We can chastise Croom all we want about bad mouthing Bama. But the guy has now pushed his program ahead of ours. As I watched their team yesterday I watched a Miss St. that dug deep down and pulled a victory out of what should have been a defeat. Last season they would have folded like a chair. Croom has weathered the storm and is now looking to take his program to the next level next season with 8+ wins. He's already got 7 this season with a FRESHMAN qb. He's got a two year winning streak against us so I think today Croom is sitting pretty and we're the ones that need to catch up with him.

BB,

I will agree with you on that. I thought the same while I was watching the game yesterday also!

To expound on their game yesterday and their season. With those two rb's and qb coming back next season they could very well be in the hunt for the SEC West. Croom always puts together a very good run blocking team, he gets his qb to manage the game and both sides of the ball plays VERY physical. Call me crazy but if they can improve by two/three games next season they're in the mix.

I wonder what Coach Croom's "process" is? Slowly he has taken MSU to the best team in Mississippi and I think he will contend next year.
