Omnibus Thread on SEC Tournament...

every team in this conference is basically an example of min/maxing stats on a DnD character lol. All tremendous in some areas but with gaping holes. Tennessee and Auburn are arguably the most complete teams but we were in a bit of a cold shooting slide until last night.

If you want to stop the idiotic court/field storming, then universities need to take it seriously. These fans were on the court before the clock even expired. It appears the Events Staff/University Security did little to attempt to even slow them down. Wake Forest administrators said that had a “plan in place” but evidently not a very good one.

Many studies show deterrence is improved by greater CERTAINTY of punishment. Most of this occurs because those involved look around to see 1000’s involved and believe the chances of anything happening to them, punishment wise, is minimal.

We have video/technology everywhere these days. Let fans know if they violate rules of decorum as visitor to your arena/facility/stadium, you will use every available means to identify them and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. If you are a student, you could face suspension or expulsion and/or heavy fine. As a fan, significant fine, mandatory jail time and possibly ban from future university athletic events.

Finally, I guess sadly it will take a serious injury to a player or staff in one of these incidents where the University is held responsible for not providing a secure setting.

We have a very weird year ... didn't expect this many to be as competitive as they are going into the season. But the SEC may very well break a lot of hearts during the dance this year

Kentucky over MS State in a wild one....wow!!!

Also LSU over Georgia by 1 point!

Vandy and Bacon Bits underway......SECN....
Kentucky has 4 or 5 guys that can dominate a game and carry them. They are the most dangerous SEC team in the tournament imo because of that. Dillingham, Sheppard, Reaves, Edward’s, and Wagner can all go for 20 points easily. You are gonna have to score 80+ to beat them in tournament.

Sheppard tonight was unstoppable........

11-14 FG
4-7 3PT
6-6 FT
leading scorer w/32 points
.......also 5 RB, 7 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks.....including a key 3 pt attempt at the end there by MS.....

Phenomenal!

Paging @AUDub - your prediction on tomorrow's road game with UT?
Pain.

Actually I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s competitive or if we managed to steal it. We’re both under a lot of pressure, and I like the new looks Auburn is throwing out there with Jaylin sidelined. Against UGA we played Johni on the perimeter at 4 with Dylan at the 5 and it actually really opened things up. Johni shoots surprisingly well from range so he’s a threat they can’t tune out. 40%, which makes him a damn near complete big. It may give us some really good looks and cause some discomfort for the Vols.

Comes down to guard play. If Aden has truly rediscovered his stroke and that 5 three performance against UGA wasn’t just a fluke, I think we share the regular season crown with Bama.

Wednesday's games (CST)

5:30 pm Missouri - Florida SECN
6:00 pm Auburn - Tennessee ESPN2
7:30 pm South Carolina - Texas A&M SECN
8:00 pm Alabama - Mississippi ESPN2

Trying to figure out if I want the Barn to beat UT tonight???

Barn has the easiest schedule to finish out SEC play. We do have a head to head with UT on Sat. so if we take care of business maybe I don't have to!

UT and MSU are tournament teams though.

At Missouri and UGA at home should be straightforward. take nothing for granted though. There are no easy games this time of year.

That's based off the losing percentage of the remaining teams on each team's schedule from an article I saw in the past week. AU's upcoming opponents have the highest losing percentage of all the other teams.

But agree that all games this time of year are tough/important and you can take no game for granted.
