Dried black beans cooked with smoke ham hocks, onions, jalapeno peppers and smoked sausage.

Steamed rice

Turnip Greens with diced turnips and bacon

Cornbread with creamed corn, cheese, jalapeno and onions mixed it.

Serve with raw onion wedges, hot bannana pepper slices, and sweet chow chow.

Milk or sweet tea and leftover blueberry pie.
 
Bayou, if your into dried beans try putting in a pound of dried pinto beans cooked like you normally cook them add:
salt pork
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp oregano
2 jalepenos chopped (I take the seed out)

That's pretty much what I already do. Exception is I usually season with a little thyme or cumin instead of oregano.
