I realize this is ancient history now, but just before we embark on the new season, we should enjoy last year one more time.

Just look at those numbers. Alabama beat 7 top-30 opponents and an amazing 3 top-10 teams. We beat the #2 team and the #3 team!

We witnessed one of the greatest Alabama teams of all time.

Great team that made the plays to win. However, I think we had a couple great runningbacks, a great defense, and a great kick returner.

Our passing game disappeared in the Tenn game, the Texas game, and parts of a few other games.

The Florida game was won by both offense and defense against a very good team. Probably better than Texas.

We won the NC so what else is there to say but with the talent and coaching we have at Bama the best might be yet to come.

Indeed, a great accomplishment. The number one team and ranked # 1 on schedule toughness, of the top 44 teams. Only Mississippi State Bulldogs played a tougher schedule. Our Crimson Tide contributed to that stat. Their results contributed to our being #2 on SOS, overall.

Did you notice most of the toughest schedules are in the South?

Wow. The only reason MSU had a tougher schedule was because Bama was on it? You got to be kidding me! UTC, North Texas, and FIU. You must be looking at the list backwards with scrub teams like those on there. No way our schedule was even half decent feasting on that cup cake paradise.

(Thats all intentional sarcasm. Mostly for our esteemed members who must chime in with 'Alabama shouldn't even be on the same field with those losers' everytime we don't have Penn St, Oklahoma, Texas, or USC in every OOC game slot.)

My Tide fan friends, ENJOY the championship!!! :)

Those glass footballs are hard to come by and a lot of factors play in the equation: skill, luck, injuries, bad calls, etc.

The 2009 Alabama team was a complete team and totally deserving of being champs!! (and thanks for slapping those whorns)

In just a few weeks we can start the process over again!!!!!:biggrin:
