Only major conferences should be part of BCS

And what does this have to do with the topic at hand???
OK maybe I did stray off topic a bit on my rant.

But here is my idea to fix things that would be the most "fair" under the current system. BLOW IT UP !

Take the top 64 teams in div 1 and make four 16 team super conferences, each with two 8 team divisions. Do the same with the bottom 64 and it can be a div 1a. Take the 4 conference winners and have a playoff. Do the same in the bottom 64. Take the top 4 from the bottom league and move them up the next year, and drop the bottom 4 from the top league down. I know this isnt feasible, but it would be the most fair to EVERY team in Div 1. This would put many current BCS teams on the bottom, and quite a few non BCS teams in the elite. But it would reward the most competetive programs year in and year out.

And you could keep the bowl games for the 60 of the 120 teams who arent in the playoffs.

Re: Strength of schedule, anyone?

Consulting the CBS sports page, I found that Utah's strength of schedule ranking is 57 while yours is 63. The team that should be disappointed about being stuck with a sub-par bowl opponent instead of playing for the national championship is not the Tide. How do you think Wyoming would do in the mighty SEC?[/quote

These two links say otherwise. Please post a link to the CBS sports page with the Ala-63 Utah-57 information, I can't seem to find the page in question (not being rude just want all the facts). And for being sub-par, neither Utah or Alabama should feel disappointed by their bowl opponent, if disappointing is what you want, look no further than this years Orange Bowl match up.
And for the BCS argument in question, I like Utah and hope they can continue their success and one day be in a BCS conference, or that a playoff replaces the BCS and gives the non-BCS conferences a shot at the title.
