He never had the team, imo. The players like him, and he's a great recruiter / cheerleader, but anyone with football knowledge readily admits he's a technical moron wrt football. I think once they hit the jackpot everyone got out of Dodge because the KNEW it was lightning in a bottle.

I, like many of you, just hope the play is clean. Too many times we have faced this team only to have them target a key player. I still remember when the whistle blew a few years ago and Tua was belted by 2 guys. No flag and he is on the ground. Thankfully he returned, but I know they were trying to send a message. It just seems to me that when a team knows there really is no chance that is prime time for them to try to take out someone to ruin their season. Yes, there is a reckoning and I do want Bama to hang 100 on 'em, but Bama has bigger fish to fry and they don't need a late season injury screwing that up.

I think before the 5 minute mark in the 4th quarter it's free game. Saban usually doesn't wind it down before then. Even now, he may let the backup QB run the full offense after the fact in the name of "experience" and you may still see a demoralized LSU defense still give way. Not sure we will run it or not at that point and hard to imagine a motivated LSU team. This honestly has the makings of public execution.
