Well Displaced and others too, I didn't try to call the radio Factor today because I knew I'd never get in. BUT...a couple of people called and asked O'Reilly about what he said on his TV Factor last night, and his answer was......."Clinton will look out for us" (Americans). Can you imagine - Hillary in the White House (maybe) and Bill head of the UN? Scary, isn't it? He also said that he wouldn't care if Bill was chasing babes just so he was lookin' out for us.

I have a ton of ambition and I try and think of others. Not sure how the two are related to my point about Bill C. I profoundly disagree with your premise that implies that all presidents are the same as it relates to being self centered at least as I meant it about clinton. Many presidents have clearly spent their terms doing what was right for the country first. No man is perfect, not saying that any are. It is clear to me that Clinton first thought of himself them public policy. Even today he cannot keep his mouth shut. Last time I checked he was the EX president.

That's not much of an arguement. All the former Presidents have had their say, some more than others, since they left office. Clinton did preside over some of the most economically beneficial years in the history of the US, so he'll be regarded as a good president for a long time.

Well I am not going to list here what differentiates all of the presidents from each other. While that may be a more complete explanation that meets your minimum standards I dont have the time or inclination. Carter is the only president that I can think of that has made sure his face and opinions were thrust on the public after office more than Clinton. It really isnt speculation to say that. Since you brought it up the economy did well starting in the 4th quarter of Bush Srs term and did well. Productivity went up , the pentium chip is amazing. Since then we have had to put the corp criminals in jail that were ignored by Janet Reno, we have had to go to war to fight and kill terrorist that were ignored (although we may have had to anyway), we havent seen anymore private residencies invaded or assualted buy the federal govt, and the fed govt stop officially supporting and paying for abortions. Other than being impeached for lying under oath to a federal judge, being found in contept by another, releasing drug dealers with pardons at the midnight hour and tearing up and stealing items from the White House on the way out, I would have to agree with you that he will be remembered.

Since you borught it up ... I have had these same arguements with liberals on the marketocracy boards that I spoke about on the stock picking thread . You grasped at the right straw when you brought up a Pentium chip but what you really meant to say was Sillicon Valley was amazing . The tax cuts under Reagan along with major investments by the military in futuristic technoligies led to the roaring Tech markets of the 90s that President Clinton screwed his way through while tryin to give away anything not nailed down to the Chinese . It would have taken confiscation of assets to have tamed the bull market of the 90s ... Clinton didn't have a * thing to do with it !!!!
