I really don't care too much one way or the other. Like I see it (and as others have stated), if UF wins, it could hurt our recruiting, but it makes the SEC look like a stronger conference.

I'd be interested to see what the mods think about which victory would help us the most. Having the amount of knowledge I do on recruiting, I just can't decide which is better for the University.

I'm not a Buckeye fan, but I did pick them on pick-em contest. Plus, I don't see how a gator win helps Bama one bit. Therefore GO BUCKEYES!!!

My unbiased opinion is that Florida loses a close one.

I like Ohio State. I like Tressell. A truly great coach and man. Also, I like Kirk Herbstreit, which adds to my fondness for Ohio State.

Part of me would like the SEC to win to show how great the conference is. The other part tells me if Florida wins , it gives them an even bigger edge in recruiting and the love affair the media has with UM will further sicken me. I'm just hoping for a great game, I guess.

On one hand, I'd prefer an SEC team win the national title. But on the other hand, Florida winning the NC could hurt us in recruiting. I'd rather see those blue chips at Bama, not gator land.

Good point. Florida winning the NC would only help their already great recruiting. They are getting a lot of recommitments from other schools like 5-star John Brantley. Florida would dominate recruiting even more in the southeast. The state of Florida would be nearly impossible to recruit out of if they won the NC.

RTR forever!

I'm pulling for the Gators for the reasons below:

  1. They're SEC.
  2. Ohio State is the favorite of the northern sportswriters who have been bashing Saban and Bama for the past few weeks.
  3. Ohio State fans are known for rioting in the streets after a win, so I won't ever pull for a program with such hooligans.
  4. Ohio State is a favored son of the NCAA and can get away with anything while SEC teams (except for UThug) are penalized for everything.
  5. Ohio State is in Columbus, which has a totally screwed-up freeway system.

However, Florida has survived a couple of games by the skin of their teeth and hasn't shown the same dominance as OSU. If OSU just picks up where they left off at the end of the season, I don't think Florida will survive. However, if the layoff disrupts their rhythm, then Florida has a shot.

I think OSU will win. I hope not.

This is starting to look like 1992 to me. Almost everyone is picking the oh mighty Buckeyes to win so i'll go with the underdog in an upset.

EXACTLY except I can't see this game being a blow out

I would like the Gators to win since no one has the BB & FB in the same year

I`m leaning toward the Gators. Tougher schedule. OSU has beaten only one school(Michigan) with a winning record since the end of September. I think Florida`s defense will be the key to the game. Too much hype about the OSU offense. Remember Troy Smith has the Heisman curse to deal with;) .
