Yes, A&M was 2-0 before getting blown out twice by USC.

Texas advanced by sweeping Oregon.

We lead St. John’s 7-2 in the top of the eighth with us as the visitors.

Oklahoma leads Kansas 8-1 in the third.

Looks good for the SEC. The winners of the two suspended series will meet in the first round in Omaha.

Assuming those scores hold and no Mickey Mouse nonsense happens I would say Omaha looks like this in terms of chances:

Bracket 1:

Best teams: Ole Miss and North Carolina
Dark Horse: West Virginia
Happy to be there: Troy

Bracket 2:

Best Teams: Georgia and Texas
Dark Horse: Oklahoma
Happy to be there: Alabama

Yes Alabama beat Oklahoma 2 out of 3 in the season on the road but I feel Oklahoma is a more loaded lineup peaking at the right time with better pitching. I think we could beat them game 1 but it will be very difficult unless our bats come to life. The trip to Omaha for us should be viewed as a program builder venture and not viewed as a successful/unsuccessful run in Omaha like softball is in OKC.

Interestingly enough the 4 best teams play each other game 1. The fact that we could potentially get 3 games with Texas/Georgia and UNC/ ole Miss is insane.

Yeah this team wasn’t one that I thought would even be in this position. Especially after leading Arkansas late every single game at home only for the bullpen to mess it up.

Those 6 outs are not guaranteed but I’m feeling good right now.

Breaking through to Omaha would go a long way for this program. I would like us to become competitive as a program as Auburn is currently where you never write a trip to Omaha before the season. But alot of Auburn’s success started by just having one of those seasons where they broke through.
