Other than Tidefans, what is your favorite rival forum?

I love Tidefans, the community, the GUI and the "likes and "dislikes are a great feature, and the moderators, while tough at times, keep this a informative, respectful, friendly place that's enjoyable to hang out.

Whom else has a great forum. My choice is TexAgs.com. If you were ever in doubt what kind of tradition and fan base they have, check out this site. Their game threads go into the 100's many times, and they have a great sense of humor. Their farks and player look a like's are some of the best ever

Anyone else have a favorite non Bama board that they like?

comments appreciated.

I've been a contributor there since 2001, but TexAgs is where brain cells go to die. There's a reason the Football forum is nicknamed "The Zoo." The mods are always around, but let just about anything go that doesn't openly disrespect the school or active players. A&M football isn't always readily discussed -- as of right now there are no less than 10 active topics discussing the Baylor/OU game from last night. They also have this nasty habit of rushing to knock the OP/OP's post as quickly as possible -- any meaningful discussion usually starts about mid-page 2.

If you're interested in hearing from fans that have actually followed A&M football for longer than one season, at least pay to get into the Premium forums. There you might stand a chance...

I'd have to say this is my favorite 'rival' forum. I post mostly on SECRant, but have lurked here for ages. Very well done site, with lots of good information and discussion. Mods keep a lid on stuff as well, but for the most part the posters seem to 'get' what goes, and what does not.

The funniest thread I ever read was on Hogville. "We didn't come here to paint." Petrino said it but the hogvillians took it from there. I Like 'Tigerfan,' but just too much attrition between the schools these days, so they stopped having fun.

I'm a regular poster on SECFanatics; lots of different rivals there, but recently Georgia and Arkansas fans have been the most numerous. The site is operated by a Kentucky fan, so don't let all the Blue in the default background disturb you...
Not sure if that was the one I was on before this one, or not. I was on one operated by a KY fan (was actually a mod), and got called out by him for apparently "baiting" a barner, then laying it on the barner. Like it was my fault his donkey's behind self had to respond the way he did (it wasn't, and my post was well within tolerance levels for even TF). I bailed out and came here and have been nowhere else since, and have no desire to go anywhere else. Like CNS says...it ain't about them.

True, some of the more exuberant fans do tend to get banned on SECF. But after a while you learn how far you can push the mods.

If you ever want to see an example of a forum run amok, spend a few minutes at Shaggy Bevo. It'll make you appreciate absolutely ANYTHING else.

I hate all other boards with equal malice but ITAT is enjoyed for sheer comedy value. There ain't one thing in the world that has ever occurred that they don't blame on UA or the REC. Oswald? He was an REC plant. Watergate? That was REC revenge for Nixon picking Texas in 1969. Eric Ramsey? Even though he had 70 audio tapes of illegal deals being made, it was OUR fault. So were Hurricane Katrina, the Fifth Down, Lehman Brothers collapse and the "murder" of Yassir Arafat.

And as of last week, the failed launch of Obamacare.

The REC is also why time travel is impossible and chewing gum loses its flavor.

I don't like the way the sites are structured at TexAgs, Tiger Droppings, etc.

The TideFans site is easier to read and participate in any discussion. I like the way the forums and threads are structured. The fact that you need to have self-discipline in that participation makes it even better. You can't just say anything that you want to say, i.e. profanity, etc. and leaving the political stuff for the Non-Sports forum. Man you have to have thick skin to go there (Non-Sports) but the conversations are good.

The moderators hold you accountable if you fail to have self-discipline. Also, you don't brag about post counts unless you want to be called a Barner.

Even before I became a member of this site, I read for years to keep up with what was happening from the experts on TideFans.

TigerDroppings and that Oregon one someone posted last night. They are hysterically funny. I have never had an issue with LSU (my dad was an LSU fan) but they seem to hate us so much, it is hilarious how Bama is in their head 24/7 these days. Oregon site usually has good stuff and their fanbase is not really bad at all. The whole "we want Bama" thing has been hysterical.

I lurk on ITAT occasionally when auburn is not doing so well. Their paranoia makes it amusing even when they're doing well but when they're down (like last season) it's comedic gold. I never post on any other board...there's one "supposedly" Bama fan who posts on ITAT but he's such a butt smoocher he actually embarrasses me by claiming to be a Bama fan. I'd love to call out some of the heathens there but I'd be banned in a heartbeat, so I just read.

If they can't handle Bama Lite, I'm pretty sure they don't want the real thing.

I found this site a decade or so ago and don't think I have ever been on any other fan site unless it was linked on this board.

This is so wrong, and the fact that you have 2 posts in 14 years I believe this is advertisement :)

I think this legitimizes my recommendation. I posted the above remarks on a thread over there, check this out.........
