It's hard to do, but I suppose I will be pulling for Awbarn today. We've already had 2/3 SEC teams lose, and we don't need anymore.

Say what you will, but that play Walter McFadden just made is BIG TIME. He made a play on the ball by breaking it up, tipping it to himself, pick in the endzone and took it 100 yds to the house. Big time.

And the announcers can talk all the garbage they want to about the ball being underthrown, etc., but I can't tell you the amount of INTs I see dropped every week. This guy went and got it and turned it into 6 quickly. If they win this game, he's the MVP easily. He's got 2 picks already and both have resulted in TDs.

I don't know about you guys but I do not get sick of seeing promos for the national championship game. :biggrin2:

And how about the "best QB in the Big 10" being eaten alive by Auburn's defense? Although the first one was more the WRs fault then his.

Auburn's defense has been on the field for 7 straight minutes and they are about to go back on to the field. They may be up by 14, but if NW continues to work Auburn East and West, NW can really start to lay it on Auburn in the 2nd half.

Just thinking the same thing. They need a 3 & out in the worst way here.

Barn up 14-0 in the first quarter. Ive seen this happen before...but I dont know if northwestern is man enough to do anything about it.

What did McFadden do to warrant the celebration penalty? To me something has to be done about this rule. It's almost now if you don't run directly into the endzone, hand the ball to the ref, then immediately head to the sideline you get a penalty. I know he high stepped a little bit but he made a big play and was excited.

They're used to playing a high volume of minutes. When they were clicking on offense earlier in the season, they would routinely score quickly on offense or go 3 & out (swim or sink) and have their defense on the field all day

NW came to play. I don't think they have the athletes to hang with Auburn but the score is def not indicative of the game thus far, imo.

GO NW Wildcats!

An unfortunate trend in announcing, I call it the Danielson effect, is to focus on the negative aspect of the play rather than the positive. So it's never a good play by the DB, it's a poor throw by the QB. See the Arenas interception of Tebow.
Excellent point.

Of course, I'm watching this on 360 with the sound muted as the wife is on the Wii Fit...

hehe
