Could not disagree more. Saying Auburn was "lucky" is agreeing with the media folks who say we were "lucky" to beat Tennessee.

The fact is, Northwestern was "lucky" to be in the position to win the game just like Tennessee was "lucky" to be in the position to win against us.


But I will agree Auburn should never mention this game in any sort of "prideful" way.

Totally correct. That game was NUTS. And Auburn was not classy in the way they played or conducted themselves.

Only a classless bunch like the 'barners can be proud to win with that disgraceful performance.

They had the benefit of 5 picks, 1 fumble recovery, 2 missed FGs (in regulation), and 1 missed PAT. Almost flushed away by poor tackling, poor ball handling, 2 celebration penalties, and 2 extremely crucial personal fouls when the game should have ended............

OK, back to open season on hating them. The SEC gets a win, and we have another reason to hate 'em.

The fact is, Northwestern was "lucky" to be in the position to win the game just like Tennessee was "lucky" to be in the position to win against us.

When you win in overtime because you injured the only kicker on the other team's depth chart in a game you couldn't win in regulation despite benefitting from five interceptions and missed three field goals and an extra point, you committed numerous unsportsmanlike conduct and personal foul penalties, and you blew a 14 pt. lead at the end of the fourth quarter....

you're damn lucky.

I don't think I have ever seen as wild and wooley and as undisciplined a game as that one. Both teams have a lot of work to do.
