This is pathetic. People are questioning why Bama bball fans are so unhappy. Look at our offense. 4 corners, stand around for 25 seconds. No one cuts, either a bad 3 attempt or a BAD turnover. This is why people are angry at CMG. We don't even look like a NIT team. You can flame but you know its true.

its just ugly to see this team play i dont know how we won 28 straight games where we won. its just so hard watching this team play sometimes you say well quit watching then. im not giving up on the team just fustrated and ranting like i think alot would do. maybe they can somehow start coaching and playing better offensivly. this just makes me miss football season more but im sure the kids are playing liked there coached. come on players hang in there

Dudleys face said it all towards the end of the game....no fire, no passion, no nothing..not sure what is wrong with this team..maybe no chemistry, bad coaching, bad refs...just not sure when all this bad Karma will end. I do know one thing, if Bama doesn't start playing like a team with some passion and get intense, then I guarantee they will not make the NCAA...

RTR

Guys the problem is Dudley is getting murdered along with double and tripled in the blocks. We have alot of athletes but not one true shooter in the bunch. We should be able to pass the ball out when dud is doubled and make a shot. We cannt. Until we can and do Dudley will not score much and we will have no inside game at all. Have to open up the outside to open and free up the inside. Walker hasnt even shown up in the last 6 games and its killing us inside. WE have no other big scoring threat inside besides dudley and every team we play that has any kind of coach knows this. We are to predictable and easy to defend. Defense is not our problem but if we are going to hinge our year on the D then we cannt play a fast paced game. Has to be one like the ole teams when we win 40-39. NO OFFENSE AT ALL. I dont blame CMG though he can only coach them and get them in possision to be wide open (and miss most of the shots) he cannt shoot it or put it in for them. We will be OK and I think maybe the first team with 8 or so loses to win the whole thing. ALWAYS BELIEVE! MAYBE TOUGH NOW BUT WE ARE BAMA AND CANNT BE KEPT DOWN BY NOBODY! WE WILL RISE AND RESPOND JUST LIKE WE ARE GOING TO DO IN FOOTBALL. RTR! WE exspect to win and think we should and its our right that is what makes us special and seperates us from all the other wanta be programs, in all sports.

GF I agree. Until somebody show our opponents that they can hurt them, they'll keep triple teaming Dudley. Plus Mo, Kenny & Dudley went 1-20 something...CMG cannot put the ball in the goal for them. When you as many rebounds as KW & ED did, you got to score on the put backs.
But your are right...until somebody steps up & gives Dudley some relief it is going to be tough. Plus these guys are now in a dreadful slump, which it has become a mental issue now...in their minds they can't make the shots, & they are putting even more pressure on themselves. Especially after being ranked so high early this season. Plus disgruntled fans all over them & CMG makes it even worse.
Hey these guys are feeling they have let this School & the fans down right now, & they need a win to get some confidence back.
And they need our support!!

Look people here is the deal. We have the atheletes and the right coach, but the problem is this. The players we have,Mo Williams, Emmitt Thomas, Erwin Dudley, Kenny Walker, Antione Pettway, Kenny Winston, Ernest Shelton....and etc. Think about it they are all GOOD atheletes, that are GOOD at B'ball, but they are not playing there style of ball. These guys are the type of guys that should be playing pressure defense, full court man, half court man, aggressive match up zones, and creating there offense off of there aggressive D. The problem is NOBODY is being aggressive. We are not taking shots when we should. We are playing reactive basketball to evrey team we play. These guys should be controlling the games...Not letting the games control us. CMG has the potential of a great team but until he lets them unleash there nature of basketball...we will continue the skid. Wait and see if we start winning bama will pick up the defensive intensity and start pushing the basketball...

Most BB teams run screen plays, some with great success. I don't rememember Bama running any and very few designed plays. If the opponent is playing tight man defense, you need torun some screens, pick and roll or some kind of play to get a good look at the basket.
I don't understand what our plan is.

It's discraceful. To play such good basketball early in the season and to then tease us with a #1 ranking, and then the bottom falls out. Ouch. This really sucks. I hope Alabama can get a little physical. Kentucky just was too over powering.

Will someone please send me a Guthrie's plate! And extra sauce!

We so seldon drive on the basket, to make the other team foul to keep us from scoring.

We have NO inside game at all.

It is embarrassing!

When players on other teams laugh at you, you know you are in real trouble.

ROLL TIDE FOREVER!

If you look back at the early part of this season, we were very lucky to be undefeated as long as we were. We played a good half against OU, then fell apart in the 2nd half. If you were at the Miss. St. game, you saw us come out totally flat with ZERO emotion as usual. We fell behind playing this pitiful excuse for an offense we have. In the 2nd half we start to play an up tempo and gain the lead. Late in the game we try to run clock and save the lead and what happens, we go 6 1/2 minutes without scoring and were lucky to get a basket and go into OT. We do not have a good enough inside game to try to force it inside to Dudley, for one thing he does not move at all in trying to get open. He is constantly double and triple teamed so that leaves someone open. ED needs to start spotting and hitting the open man. ET has been the only bright spot recently and we ignore him way too much. I still believe we can salvage this season, but we better wake up NOW. I would love to see Gottfried show some emotion and hopefully fire his troops up instead of standing with his mouth open and his arms crossed. Man, I hope he doesn't start clapping all the time, it would just be too reminiscent.

Go Mark, make em all eat their words. This bunch of posters will be the first one's slapping you on the back telling you how they've been with you all the way when this season turns around.

Betcha not one of them has ever dunked a basketball! Those that can...do. Those that can't...post.

hey 72, you are right....When CMG pulls this team together..you'll see CMG needs a raise...UCLA is going to get him.

I'm not saying CMG isn't a good coach, I'm merely saying he needs to step forward and take control of his team and help them play to their strenghts and realize what is just not working. Sometimes a player needs to have a coach get in his face and read him the riot act. If you know anything about sports or life in general, you know different people react differently to praise or critisim and the laid back approach doesn't seem to be doing the trick with this particular group of players.

72,
We are not CMG haters, but c'mon. You are here telling us we have no basketball ability or insight, but we obviously know more than you to see that there is a problem. I will be the first to stand up and say that Coach is doing a good job, when he does. But for you to flame us for stating the obvious is dumb. No hard feelings, but you must admit that even the newest basketball fan can see that we are not playing well and it starts with our offense. And that is a direct reflection on the coach.

Well, ole 72 coached high school basketball, boys and girls, in LA for six years. That makes me an xspert...(x-has been)...(spert-strong drip). Flame? Is that what I did?
All I feel is love.
