Just an unbelievable final drive (the drive before that was pretty amazing, too).

Still makes me giddy every time I watch it.

I was a fan of Kennedy, too. Wish we had never run him off.

I still get chills listening to PK's call and watching that final drive....best ever finish to an Iron Bowl and will likely never be topped. 2009 was close though...

I always likedPpaul. Remeber Gene Jelks run against Auburn? "RUN TO GLORY, RUN TO GLORY". I wonder why he was let go?

I believe PK was just part of the changes that went on when Coach Perkins left at end of 86 season- Steve Sloan came on board as AD and hired Eli that season. IF my memory serves correctly.

For all his shortcomings as a HC Mike Shula will hold a special place in my heart for that 85 season- 9-2-1 is not the greatest season ever, but that team was awesome and so close to undefeated.
