This loss by Ole Sis could be good for Bama! A wake-up call that teams from other conferences have vengeance on their minds!

Hopefully, the Bama players will bring their A+ game for the matchup with tOSU. Bama players, be ready to knock the snot out of the opponents
on every down! We want their blood, sweat, and tears!

Coach Saban! Please have them ready!

I certainly hope that Ole Miss just wasn't energized for this game and that TCU was out to make a statement. In either case, Ole Miss just wasn't the same after they suffered injuries in the LSU/Auburn game. It just sucks that people are going to fixate on this and forget all the other SEC wins over the Big 12.
1991 Fiesta Bowl comes to mind.

This year's Ole Miss team is like our 2008 unit. Great talent on the first string but the depth falls off quick. They didn't have the offensive firepower to be a pass-heavy team against that pass rush. It is really a big sign that they need to find offensive offensive balance in the form of a big SEC-like tailback. I think they could have made it a game by controlling possession and taking advantage of their small defensive front. Instead, they were having to throw downfield a bunch and their OL was not quick enough to handle those pass rushers who were thinking "pass only."

Well, what was going to be a very quiet year, over in Texas, is showing signs of being annoying again. Rats. Thanks, Ol' Sis.

After Treadwell, was hurt, didn't think they would win another game. Still surprised they won the Egg Bowl. Just shows what happens when too much of a team's success hinges on one or two players.

Taking absolutely nothing away from TCU. As Bamaro stated, they made their statement and punctuated it.

At the same time...what a complete choke job by Ole Miss, and Bo Wallace in particular. From the opening snap, he looked slow and throttled....like a first time starter. He stared down receivers...his offensive line was beyond pathetic. And either he was scared or TCU has the best secondary since the 2002 Buccaneers. He was tucking & running or taking a sack on every other dropback...That was a pathetic showing from Ole Miss. They mailed it in.

Oddly enough, what they did today is what I expect(ed) Mississippi St. to do. Without their DC against an offense that tough to game plan for and at least 5 key players who have nothing to gain here and who I suspect are looking ahead to the draft. Maybe I'm wrong.

But if I'm not...what a way for the state of Miss to end its current season of major college football after what's been its best ever.

But, but, but, Bo Wallace is going to win the Heisman, Hugh Freeze is the best up and coming coach in the conference, Katy Perry (is that how you spell it?), the greatest year in Mississippi history, blah, blah, blah.

Bad enough to embarrass your school, but these guys embarrassed the conference and hurt their own recruiting into the bargain....

That salary increase was sure deserved! Just look at how his team played today!

Make no mistake, Ole Miss had no chance in this game. TCU came to prove a point, and Ole Miss was just over matched. TCU put together the perfect gameplan and executed it to perfection as well. With the way they played, there isn't a team in the country who could have slowed them down, much less beaten them.

With that said, one game is not indicative of a complete picture. TCU no more deserves to be in the playoff now than they did 3 weeks ago when the selection committee made their picks. TCU could have beaten anyone in the country on this day, but that doesn't make them the best team in the country. Nor does it mean that there is anything wrong the SEC as a conference.

Let's all just take this game for what it is. A great team who was just better than their opponent, and who played a perfect game. It means nothing more than that.

I wondered during the game, if the Bears have a second string QB. They are 1-4 the last 5 games against FBS Teams. Including the 0 -30 loss to Arky. People will put emphasis on this game, but the Rebels have lost like this to a far worse team than TCU.

And OM throttled the team that is destroying the PAC 12 runner up which beat Oregon at home. With parity comes the end of the transitive property in CFB. I will say this, I'd be very very worried about next year if I were a Rebel fan.

It appears that a lot of teams every year are not energized or enthused with a bowl game. Sign of the times.
I can't blame the playoffs entirely, but I guess we can kind of blame the BCS and their not really a bowl game creation of the BCS Championship Game. We saw Alabama really phone it in a couple of years when they "only" got to play in the Sugar Bowl, which otherwise would be the dream of every SEC team. Now with the playoff though, I think you will see plenty of disappointed and unmotivated teams phone it in. But, Utah and TCU showed us how a team is supposed to play in that situation. Go out there and prove something...
