Capybaras are herbivores, therefore harmless to other animals around them. They're easy-going semi-aquatic mammals, social, friendly, and gentle, and get along with just about everyone, so it makes sense that other animals would enjoy their company

The story on the deer, it was 26 degrees, while replacing some plumbing under the house , taking a break sitting on the porch freezing. This deer walks out of the woods and right up on the porch with me. Licks my hand, tries to crawl in my lap. Sticks around for 2 days eating shrub leaves and acorns , doing his best dog impression. Would not leave.
called DNR to possibly relocate him, they came out and threatened to ticket me for illegally keeping a pet deer. The game warden euthanized him on the spot. I understand why it was done, I think in retrospect we should have gone a different route , called around for a petting zoo or something.
