I agree with those who say they will have trouble scoring, just like the rest of our opponents. They also have one of the sorriest run defenses in college football. Samford, SAMFORD, ran all over them at home. AU will have to have at least 8 in the box to slow our run game. They also have shown a disturbing trend in that if they get down a couple of scores, they just plain quit, as others have noted.
I know, I know, throw out the records, throw out the stats, this is a rivalry game, they hate us, blah, blah, blah.
I don't understand the lack of optimism (and I was there last year). We have everything to play for and I think we will play well. It may be the one game we ever see where CNS does not let up with a lead near the end. I'm going to say we score up around 38 or so, they may get 14 -- one on or set up by special teams and one primarily on some goofy garbage ball play that you get away with once in a game. We rush for nearly 300 yards.
