Yeah, they can, but they might catch a little heat for it. That's okay, right?
I’m fine with that. I offered my opinion on a message board, so I’m not bothered by dissenting thoughts.

A little heat is fine. I was simply pointing out that a score prediction does not require a defense, nor does it mean the poster is any less of a fan than anyone else on this site.

I still like Bama to win but I'm curious for those of you who are projecting that Alabama scores 30+ points in this game - what is your line of thinking there? LSU couldn't muster more than 23 points at home against these guys, even with Burrow throwing for 321 yards. No one has scored more than 24 on them all season.

I think a great offensive output for us in this game would be 20 points, particularly with the backup QB starting his first road game. Our defense will need to play a whale of a game.

I'm going to say Bama 17-12.

LSU had 500 yards of offense....and basically stalled on multiple drives....

Auburn has given up more and more rushing yards as the season has progressed....

Our elite playmakers on offense outnumber their elite playmakers on defense.....

Georgia scored 21 on them, looking like an episode of the Walking Dead....

And why does our defense need to play a "whale" of a game, when they've proven that they cannot score more than 20 on average defenses?

I'll add that Alabama has a substantially better o-line than LSU, substantially faster/quicker receivers than LSU, better RBs than LSU and a much better coaching staff than LSU. Plus Alabama will be very, very motivated in this game.

I don't think MJ qualifies as a "back up" in the traditional sense. And I hope Bama is jazzed to play this game. And I'm optimistic the teams wants to win for Tua, for a chance to play in the playoffs, and well, I'm just optimistic! Roll Tide.

I think my prediction was 30-29 BAMA. I was thinking 1 of our TD's may be Jalen Waddle on a punt return or a pick six from McKinney. It would sure help if one of those happened, just in case our offense is not great, especially in the first half.

I think conventional wisdom is that this will be a controlled game with their front seven slowing our Tua-less offense and our defense good enough to stymie Bo Nix.

But I think it gets a little more loose than conventional wisdom would dictate, based on the emotional atmosphere.

Back up QB? Mac Jones is our starting QB now! Lia is the 2nd string back up.

Probably catch flak, and obviously I hope I`m as wrong as wrong can be, but 26-24 barn. I just don`t like the match ups along the line on both sides of the ball. That and playing in JH and all that that can mean, as purely illogical as that may be. I will most happily come back on and eat crow if I`m wrong.

For the past 11 consecutive seasons, if Auburn lost to UGA, they lost to BAMA, if they won vs UGA, they beat Bama. I saw this on the al.com article about statistics for the Iron Bowl.

Hopefully this will make the 12th year in a row for the same statistic since they just lost to UGA !!

I am thankful for not being a fan who picks against my team. I am also thankful for not being someone who cares to examine the reason why others pick against their team

Unless you think we are a worse team than Florida and Georgia, I just can’t understand
