17-3 at halftime. Our offensive line is set and gels as a unit in this one. Weather, field conditions and noise level dictate gameplan. Ball control, ground and pound with a 3/4 back rotation for fresh legs and different look. AJ to Maze/White keeping them off balance by occasionally stretching the field. Our defensive talent, depth and rotation are just too much. We'll force the Lions into a lot of 3 and 6 play possessions. Special teams play is better this year and fundamentally solid. Depriest will make more noise on coverage here and Maze is getting more comfortable and showing more patience setting up and following his blocks. 34-10 final score.

Crowd noise will be taken out of the mix after it is 21-0 in the first half. PSU simply doesn't have the depth to keep enough fresh legs in there against the Tide. You will see a lot of huffing and puffing and Crimson jerseys zipping past. The Tide dominated the Nittany Lions last year on the lines and I think that will play out again. I've got 42-13 but it will seem worse. Think UGA's blackout...this will be a statement game for 2011!!!

Going with Bama 20-13 given the possible wet conditions. I think our edge in athleticism makes the difference but atmosphere and emotion keep PSU in it for most of the game. I see this one playing out like Bama vs OU at BDS in 2003. We played them much closer than we should have for the same reasons but the better team won in the end.

If you are relying on that in a game, you are saying you are outmatched. Don't think that is the case. Penn st. will have a much harder time moving the ball than Bama will.
