I predicted a win earlier in the thread, and I stand by that. I just hope our rb play improves. It was not spectacular against Middle TN and they missed a lot of blocks also, which was a little surprising given how much I've heard "murder ball/bully ball is back" all summer long. When our run game is on point, it in turn helps the passing game and keeps our D fresh and rested. We need Quin Ewers and his 8 receivers that can catch the ball sitting on the sidelines.

Lil concerned about our C an RG matching up against the shorthorns DT, Sweat. Watched the Rice game an he was blowing up their OL all day. Hoping this is a beatdown but… got a feeling it’s gonna be a nail biter. I’ll be watching either way. Roll Tide Roll!!

Some good posts in this thread have me feeling more confident.

@STONECOLDSABAN's posts about our home record since 2008 and Texas' last 10 games on the road against top 10 teams (they are only 2-8) are a little eye opening.

We are in a great position to win this game. Prior stats don't mean nothing and Sark will tell his boys that too, but our home field, Sat. night atmosphere is big in this one!

I've read JessN's prediction and it's closer than I want for comfort, but I'm feeling pretty good right now we cover the -7 spread. Wouldn't surprise me if this game doesn't follow the pattern of the Clemson/Duke game and we just start pulling away in the 3rd and 4th quarters!

...but, yeah, those games - even against a #1, a #2, and a #3 ranked team coming to BDS - probably weren't as "hyped" or something...
You're correct. They weren't as "hyped". Big games - no doubt. But not with the level of national hype of the ones I mentioned. Study history, it's a good teacher for all of us.
