Least shocking news of the day. After the comments yesterday, it was hard to see any way he stayed in the program. And let’s face it, the coaching staff screwed up badly.

Shivers was the big one among the freshman RBs regarding carries this year, but this was our best chance at a future feature back.
Well; they can certainly use the "immediate playing time opportunity" pitch when recruiting RB's.

Where has AD Greene been hiding? Since he guaranteed Gus would be back even if he lost to GA and Ala back in early Nov, I haven't seen much from him. Is he just another puppet in all this mess?

auburn will always be auburn. I live about 30 mins from there. There fans are always terrible, least the ones I've had contact with. even had one tell me during the week of Auburn game, hope they hurt Tua knee.

2 things I take out of the hire.

#1 They made Kodi burns CO-OC, I am sure it is in name only, and Gus is still going to call plays. I smell disaster.

#2 they hired a guy whose offense collapsed in the 2nd half vs UCF, scored 38 in the first half, scored 3 in the 2nd half.

At least they can compare notes on what its like to lose to UCF. I guess gus is going to work on 2nd half collapses instead of doing it in the first half.

Cole notes the important part of the hire.

That’s an excerpt from the AU Sports story on the new hire.

This is the reason that Bobby Bentley of South Carolina turned them down. The OC title would be "in name only". He would coach QB's but Gus would call the plays.

Dillingham and Burns will get paid well to make Waffle House runs on Sunday mornings.

He's 29. That would be like Saban hiring Kareem Jackson to be DC. It's only a person to fill a position because Gus will be the one doing all the work.
Göös' offense, Göös' GA hire, Göös paying his GA & OC-in-name-only salary out of that $42M pot Göös be using for new hires. Adds up beautifully by cowpatty logic.

Harbert has Greene playing “Where’s Waldo?” with Leath in the newly renovated President’s mansion......

And to think this whole thing was caused by some Dingle Berry in the AU administration who was fearing for his life that Gus was going to go to Arkansas and beat Auburn......(I thought they should have jettisoned him after the SEC title game last year myself).
