Playing rotation as we head into SEC play

With only two nonconference games left, here's my take on the playing time. When crunch time arrives, I think our best 4 are Sears, Philon, Nelson and Mo. Mo gives us rebounding that we need. I hope we see more of him like we did in Vegas. The 5th would depend on situations and who's hot - Cliff, Reid, Youngblood or maybe even Mallette. Maybe Aden if ballhandling is needed to protect a lead. I think we all want Jarin to be the guy who tempted the NBA, but offensively he's been a disaster with turnovers and horrific shooting. Sherrell will get some minutes during the game to spell Cliff and Grant, but if he's in the last 2 minutes then something has gone wrong. I guess my last 3 guys right now are Aden, Jarin and Sherrell. I like the bigger bodies and defense from Youngblood/Mallette over Aden right now.

That's a pretty good guess, given the present situation. I'm not a fan of having Aden and Sears on the floor at the same time. I think it hurt us with ND, although neither individually was having any luck guarding Eaglestaff. I'd like to watch him in other games. If he can approximate what he did against us, he can make any short guard look foolish. Unfortunately, Sears and Holloway both can give us esoteric and spectacular scoring, followed by absolute no-brainer TOs...

Nate said today that the players who don't want to play defense won't be given many minutes from here on out. Since we just gave up 90 points to a 4-8 Division II team, who does that leave?

Defensive effort was better today, but the shooting was horrific. We can be really good if we play a complete game.

He apparently ran the hell out of them this week for 2.5 hours at full speed. Those early shots may have been on wobbly legs. :)
