Please pray for my Dad...

His name is Philip Moore, Jr.

He is 73 years old and has recently been diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer. The chemo treatments have been very hard on him and he is currently hospitalized for several things.

Also, my mother could use some strength to help her through her ordeal.

May God keep your dad and family strong throughout this ordeal. My future son-in-law is from Huntsville and my daughter will be living there. His dad had throat cancer almost 20 years ago and has survived well beyond what anyone thought he would. God does work in wonderful ways.

Thank you. He is "holding his own", but in this sort of situation, that is not necessarily a good thing. The longer he continues to not get better, the bleaker the prognosis.

Thanks for the prayers, all of you. Please also keep my Mom in there also, as she continues to be on the verge of a nervous break-down.

Thank you all for your prayers during my father's recent hospitalization.

I am sure the cummulative effect of all the prayers helped in his short-lived "grace" period, in which he was better able to communicate with my Mother and the rest of us.

Unfortunately, my Father passed away on Monday, December 16th. His passing was very peaceful while surrounded by his loved-ones.

Thanks again for showing what great people we have here at TideFans.

Philip - I am so sorry for the loss of your Father on the 16th. I'm sure the holidays have been difficult as I had a brother buried on Christmas Eve 9 years ago. May knowing that others care give you comfort at this time.

Philip: I've been extremely lax in checking this board lately. I'm so very sorry to hear about your father.

I hope your Mother is holding up and has family members close by to lean on.

I remember when my own father died years ago, it was so very difficult on my mother.

Overcoming the grief & loneliness is the worst. Don't think the pain ever goes away -it simply becomes easier to live with over time.

Be there for her & love her dearly!
