I honestly believe we will be good with Marc Guillon. With anybody saying our season being over because of Brodie is not in the game. Is failing to see one thing. Alabama Crimson tide Football is made from 22 starting players. Although Brodie, is a very good player and we will miss him this year. We have 21 more players plus Marc Gullion that begs to differ from the sentiment. That "If Brodie is gone, This team is done." as Andrew Zow said on the Paul finebaum show. These are the factor's that we have..


1. Runningbacks - With Ray and Kenneth we have a good way to keep the defense honest. Also with the Beef squad(Tim castille and the Mclain's). Marc will be able to keep the D honest and work the offense better.

2. Marc Gullion - He has the spring practice to fall on. Plus the West carolina game. He has some playing time that gets him in the feel of the game.

3. Kicking game and Defense - We have a agressive D. That can pull the Offense along if need be.

So you are all wrong to say the Season is over. WHAT!! Do we need to Fire Mike for a mistake!!

Marc...

will get the opportunity to show that he can keep them honest. I look for them to bring all the pressure they can possibly muster at the beginning of the game. He'll have to prove to them that he can hurt them through the air. If LAM can do it, then I'll bet he can too...

If he pays as hard as Brodie, Tyler, and Andrew have, then Im happy whatever the outcome is. Those are some tuff kids and great company to be compared too, so I dont think we realize just Gullions potential. He is a great QB! :biga2:

I agree with your assessment. The Brodie injury will have a galvinizing effect for this young Tide team--they will only work harder and focus on the task at hand: Arkansas.
Brodie is a warrior who will return in earnest!

After the past few years, I see a team growing by leaps and bounds under the steady guidance of Coach Shula.

He has done a good job with what he can and will do. He has kept that coaching staff together even though people have moaned and groaned about CJK. I put my full faith toward the coaching staff.... They will be prepared. And Marc Gullion will do good.

while i believe marc will do well replacing brodie, i still am not ready to state that this team is ready for any big time football. realistically, they beat a bad utah state team, which this week lost to in state rival utah a very good team 48-0, we beat mississippi, which has an identity crisis now. they were lucky to beat vanderbilit, and needed a good officials call to win. western carolina, a good scrimmage team. now we prepare for the big leagues. arkansas will test our offensive line with blitzes, and they have the speed to test our defense. i am sure hoping the tide can do the job.

I think we will. Here's why:

1. We are hungry. These young whippersnappers out there want to make a name for themselves and their team.

2. We have heart. From Coach Shula down to the scout team, you are looking at a program that is hungry for wins.

3. We are Alabama. We know it, everyone else knows it, and it's way past high tide for the rest of the people to know it.
