Interesting substitutions today. No Welch and barely any Gurley. LSU going to that zone right after Miller got his 4th foul seemed to be a horrible decision by them. When Sears, Quinerly, and Griffen are on the court you don’t want to go zone with three shooters.
Welch had a knee brace on. Gurley didn’t participate in pre game warmups. Might be nagging stuff.

one observation today. Sears is tremendously underrated as a defensive player. He gets absolutely nailed and mauled repeatedly yet hustles through it.

Miller too. The dude balls even when he’s not shooting well. He and Clowney both are fantastic rebounders. Charles is not.

Charles has soft hands.

We need them more for what's to come honestly, we could win that game without them. LSU played much better, but I never felt like the game was in question.

So, imagine us going into tourney play with 9 guys that can hit the 3 ... NINE. And a solid frontcourt offense to boot? We should be a solid challenge for most teams we play

The hardest stretch of the conference schedule is upon us. Only two gimmes I see are UGA and USCe.
It was a bad call. He told Nate to back up. Nate didn’t seem to want to. Then he told the other official something not overly nice about the first guy. Pettway prevented a second technical.on Oats.

Gotta say I'm becoming a bigtime Rylan Griffen fan.

In the last 10 Games:
3-Pointers - 20 for 44 (45.5%)
PPG - 8.7

In the last 7 Games:
3- Pointers 17 for 39 (43.5%)
PPG - 10.4

But also CNO had this to say after the LSU Postgame:

“An instance tonight where we’re making a sub, we needed to get somebody in and I wasn’t quite sure who to put him in for. I put him in for Quinerly, and Rylan said, ‘No, no, no, no. Coach, we’ve gotta leave JQ in. He’s creating offense for everybody. Take me out, leave JQ in.’ And sure enough, JQ comes downhill off the next ball screen, sprays it out, Sears hit a three and Rylan said, ‘I told you, Coach.’ He’s over there on the bench.

“I think Rylan just cares about the team. Nimari’s got that same kind of mindset. It’s good for guys like that that can make shots that are making shots to also just be big team guys.”

Man you gotta love this from a young guy!!!

He's quickly emerging as one of our best scorer's off the bench and yet he's also super un-selfish and just wants what's best for the team.

He was also the one who after the Oklahoma loss confessed that they weren't listening to the warnings that CNO was giving them and now they would.

I might have to go to one of those Chinese Jersey websites and get a Customized Griffen Alabama Basketball Jersey..lol

The funny thing is that I thought as his rim protection came along - and it has, although LSU wasn't his best - I thought the rebounding would just follow, but it doesn't seem to have...
