In the last year both my mom and uncle have had cancer. My uncle had prostate cancer and after some radiation treatments the cancer vanished. He did not have to have surgery and is doing great right now.
My mom was diagnosed in March with Colon cancer. She did radiation and chemotherapy before the surgery to remove it. The surgery was 100% successful and she was told she was in the clear. But to be sure it wouldn't come back (colon cancer has a high return rate) Post-surgery since July she has been doing chemotherapy. She will be done on December 29th.
I could look at this year as just being plain bad, but both are still here with me and doing fine, and I thank God for this and for them both.
