IDK, but I'd imagine they aren't part of the old boy network...Me either...bad move.
Of the few that are fighting it, do you know are they new board members or part of the old boy network from when Paterno was there?
One of the loudest and most vocal through the media was elected this summer. The ones that matter on the board were aware of the decision to come to the agreement with the NCAA quickly.Me either...bad move.

I knew this was coming. It's one of the many reasons I laughed at some on these boards for commenting that the sanctions against PSU by the NCAA were unjustified, unwarranted, etc.
PSU is lucky not to be shut down for a decade.
I'm thinking that he resigned recently under some pressure...One of the loudest and most vocal through the media was elected this summer. The ones that matter on the board were aware of the decision to come to the agreement with the NCAA quickly.
I just wish there was a way to punish these people without the all the bad coming out. The back channels are buzzing big time on this one and it is the sickest of the sickest. I have a hard time letting stuff go with innocent, especially children, are involved.I understand what you're saying but I disagree. All of it, regardless of offense, should be exposed. Although it sickens and angers me whatever enters our minds is nothing compared to what the victims endure.
Am I missing something? I thought they were expected to ratify the decision. Surely they're not so stupid as to do otherwise...I couldn't believe the PO'ed BOT members decided to litigate with the NCAA. That makes it hanging over the program for ten years, versus 3-4 years. Ask UNLV what that does to a program with recruiting...
not to change the subject but thanks for reminding me that Vernon Reid and Muzz Skillings are 2 of my all time heroes!Because even after Joe's dead...
Many were wondering why/how PU and the NCAA agreed to such a speedy resolution -- I'm guessing they were hoping they could avoid having any of this see the light of day? Unfortunately if this is true, I doubt there's anything to keep it from becoming public now.I have heard it suggested that if ALL comes to light in this matter, we will here about LEO's and politicians involved also.
This came from more than one person that was supposedly from Penn State and it was from a non-football forum.
I'm not clear as to exactly what is going on. You'd think it would take a majority of the BOT to litigate against the NCAA. A minority might have legit litigation against the rest of the BOT, but the NCAA? I actually picked this up off a UM board. Might be worth a second look to see what's actually going on...Am I missing something? I thought they were expected to ratify the decision. Surely they're not so stupid as to do otherwise...
let's see a booster to PSU being involved and participating. Yeah I can see how they wouldn't be in involved or in actual troubleThis is the least of his problems as he will already die in prison. If the computers are from his home, saying this is PSU allegations is incorrect imo, as far as Penn State being held responsible criminally, civil or by the NCAA for what Sandusky did on his home computer while not employed by the state.
This is probably him and some pedophile online group, not boosters or other employees at the school. The article is not titled "New PSU allegations", the poster added that. They are going to keep digging and the more the boosters, alum ,and BOT fight this the worse the outcome for the school. They do not need to worry about the NCAA they need to worry about the state. This is a state school and they could come in turn the school into community college before it is done with no atheltics. All they are doing is making themselves look selfish and with no remorse.
yep it's not new(or the article doesn't actually say a PENN STATE BOOSTER) when the articles are dated AUGUST 10 & 11 2012 .This is probably him and some pedophile online group, not boosters or other employees at the school. The article is not titled "New PSU allegations", the poster added that.
You can't punish them without bringing out 'All the bad'.I just wish there was a way to punish these people without the all the bad coming out.
