If I am reading right he finished 20-29 for 278 with 2 TD's in the air and one on the ground.

He looked good, the Allen defense and special teams did not look so good.

Overall Morris had a good game. He started off with 5 straight completions then later had five or six straight incomplete passes in the first half. However, a couple of those looked like mistakes on the receiver's part. He played very well in the second half. He is a big rascal with a strong arm and a quick release. He seems to move in the pocket well. He threw a couple of laser strikes himself.

This was an off night for him compared to what he's been doing, but overall, I think he played a really good game.

That was an exciting, enjoyable game to watch.

Morris came out hot- seemed to press too hard after they got behind by a couple scores-settled down and finished strong.

Isn't Allen, Texas the setting for "The Longest Yard"?

Some good, some bad from Morris. Needs to hold on to the ball a little better with three fumbles tonight but his arm is insane. Made a 15 yd bullet pass while being wrapped up by a defender, perfect deep passes and even his bullet passes seemed to be very easy to catch for the WRs. He needs a little bit more time to grow into a complete QB with ball procession but loved his football IQ and arm strength

Did anyone catch the graphic near the end of the game showing Morris's scouting report. It read:
Strengths - Very accurate, can make all the throws.
Weaknesses - Average athlete, not a dual-threat.

How is that weakness? Maybe if he's going to play for Georgia Tech or Navy...

Sounds like we got a good one if they are reaching like that for negatives about the guy.

I'd add, big dude for a HS kid, heck, big even by Division I standards. Isn't he something like 6'3" 230 lbs? While he doesn't have blazing speed, he's good enough to be able to run to get out of trouble. That's all I care about.

things got a little chippy during the handshakes.... couple of Plano kids were shoving, ran into Alec and he could've killed them, but didn't. It's funny, his WR pushed him out of the way.... you could tell he was thinking "God, please don' let Alec get hurt."

What happened at the end? It seemed there was something going on with the refs and explaining something to the coaches.

For those interested in the SCORE it was Allen 42 to 38!!!
20 for 29 for 278 yards. Not bad stats with a 68.97 % complete with no interceptions.
Just the facts man.

That's very impressive considering that he struggled for the small bit that I was able to watch. He had missed like 7 passes in a row at one point, good to see that he rebounded.

Facts? No, I would rather hear about the other team's WR or a scuffle on the field after the game......;)

Morris as a runner reminds of Garcia or Driskel. Not fast, but somehow elusive...he'll run for a couple of first downs a game.

the announcers said that morris had a laser pointer shone into his eyes and told the refs about it

Don't know about the scuffle but will definitely agree with you on the WR for Plano East.
Their DB Bassett wasn't bad either with two returns for TDs with one called back.
