I heard on The Morning Drive on JOX in Birmingham that Winston will be on their show tomorrow after the annoucement. The show is on from 6:00-10:00 but was wondering what time Winston is set to announce.

Earlier in the thread, someone mentioned he would announce at 3.

I don't feel a sense of urgency to sign any quarterback with this class. Simms and AJ are two of the most talented qb's in the nation. No one that signs to play next year would come in and take their spot. Go get Goldman, DGB, and Kwon.

Probably the stinging thing about losing Winston (if we do) is that we've become spoiled by getting whomever we want to in the state. At least this one likely won't come back to sting us in the tail with him likely going MLB route.

Wonder if this means we try to turn the heat back up on Gunner?

I still hope Bama gets him, however this could be the beginning of the 25 signee rule effect. It hurts too much to sign a player in Feb and then he not be there in August. Especially if it means not signing another very good player who will attend.

Does anyone know if the ACC has a 25 signee rule?

It would be a hard loss to take for a day or two, but great programs move on.

Besides, history shows we do pretty well with recruits out of Arkansas.

Rodney Orr said on his TV show tonight that he expects Winston to commit to FSU tomorrow. He also said there's other options out there, and while you hate missing out on these top QBs, having guys already here like AJ and Sims has a lot to do with it. Not to steer this thread off topic, but he said Alec Morris, a current Wake Forest commit from TX, is a guy to keep an eye on.

It is hard to imagine a lifelong Bama fan stepping up to the table and committing to anywhere other than Bama:( on TideFans.com There are still several hours for him to change his mind........some kids change their mind at the last second.

FSU is recruiting great, Jimbo has convinced him of his track record with NFL QB's and he will have less competition at FSU but he would thrive with all the talent around him at Bama.

Losing an in-state premium talent like Winston to FSU sucks, it sucks royally, but knowing that the chances of him ever suiting up in FSU colors are slim makes losing him less crappy. IMO, the only time I ever see Winston playing QB at FSU is if he pulls a Chris Weinke.
