So... When is it? 2:30? 4? 5?

I thought College football live announced yesterday that Winston will announce on their show today. It starts at 2:30pm CST on ESPNU. They replay the show about 4 times over the next 4 hours on different ESPN stations. So, it will air at multiple more times if you miss the 2:30. Lets just hope it is us.

From an outsiders perspective, I really can't figure for the life of me why Jameis would want to play anywhere except Alabama. But...

Jameis is a complicated package. He comes 100% for sure with a baseball in his hand. He is nationally rated as the 25th best high school baseballer in the nation. Jameis will announce Bama or Florida State today, and one of them will get to do the yehoo dance. But reality is, Jamies, with his baseball rank, could well find himself faced with a minimum of 1 million dollars to turn down from the Majors before ever making his first two-a-days on a college campus. Gurus are forecasting Jameis as a 3rd round major league pick.

Jameis has said football is his first love. But if MLB offers him enough money, he's going to have a hard decision to make.

i'm not being negative in this situation, just simply being a realist. Alabamafb's posts have me quite confused, especially when FSU is already being congratulated on for landing Winston. I just have a hard time believing that Winston will be coming to Bama at this point. If you are somehow right with him picking us, you've been one hell of an insider. If you are wrong, then you'll have plenty of explaining to to do.

LOL. This decision will be epic for this board. If conventional wisdom and MOST insiders and recruiting gurus are correct and Jameis does commit to FSU today, alabamafb will become a villain of astronomical proportions on this board. If he commits to Bama, alabamafb will achieve an Oracle and Legend status. Regardless what happens this is gonna be interesting.

This is why I really don't like looking at the recruiting boards, especially nowadays. You get excited about someone only to have big letdown. People get excited about rumors upon rumors and it makes for a bad situation. While it's great to get a top recruit it's even better to get a great team and that seems lost in looking at boards about recruiting. On the flip side, it would be great to get this kid, just like any other. I hope he does sign with Bama and brings other on board with him. Am I gonna cry and seek out a poster because his rumor was wrong. No, it's just a game.

I'm gonna say FSU for two reason. No three.

All the "insiders" say FSU, the QB depth chart is favorable for JW at FSU, and I don't want to be let down.

I am not one to read much of the recruiting board but found myself interested in this. If alabamafb has inside info, then he will become a legend on this board. If he is, in reality, an FSU fan, he may be pulling everyone's chain and would not come back here to explain anything. I do not know what the story is, just giving a point of view. I would find it a little odd for the kid to hold a press conference in Hueytown so that he could commit on natl tv to FSU. Hueytown is a BIG bama town. I will say this about the kid, he can play baseball and is a major talent and an unreal athlete. I would not be surprised if he kept to football or if took the boat load of money and went to the minor leagues. When he plays football or baseball around other high school stars, he just outshines everyone with his talent.

Most people here are very good about taking rumors with a grain of salt but alabamafb isn't portraying this a rumor but as a FACT. We all hope Winston commits to Bama, regardless if he ever plays a down of football, but to have some one speak with so matter of a fact against most of the information available to most people, draws a lot of emotion and skepticism.

He will go first round and will get up front over $1 million next year. So, if he does choose fsu, then so be it.

He may end up there in the end but right now he is projected 3rd round. A lot of it has to do with a 6.9 60-yard time he recently ran. So he is projected as a RF instead of a CF. Now of course he has plenty of time to improve his already impressive stock and he is capable of improving this time, he has done better on other occasions, but that's where it stands right now.

I don't know whether to believe this guy or not. If he is an FSU fan that just played the fans or someone who is close to the situation but in the past a day or two before an announcement happens word tends to leak out and that is usually where the kid goes. I refuse to cmgratulate FSU for landing an instate player because it ...... me off a d I hope it ...... this coaching staff off that they are getting taken to the woodshed so far. I would set the o/u at 6 being the number of posters that get banned after the cussing that alabamafb gets if he is a troll. So regardless of what alabamafb predicts, knows or trolls I hold out some optimism that Winston commits
