I took over the bill paying function in our household when my wife had a stroke back in September. It took me awhile to figure out her system, but am seeing some major areas for savings. We have used Verizon Wireless since day 1. I never paid much attention since we had 4 lines and as I said myi wife kept things in order. I just cancelled her phone on Verizon and I thought the savings would have been more. I am looking at Spectrum and am told I could save somewhere around $100-$110 per month with 2 unlimited lines and one line by the Gig. Anybody switch from Verizon, where did you go, and lastly does anybody have any experience with Spectrum Wireless? Thanks in advance.

We used to be Verizon customers until I found out Tracfone has an unlimited talk and text AND "Bring your own phone" plan for $35/month. We switched back in October and neither my wife nor I can tell a difference in service. Sine then I've found out Tracfone uses Verizon cell phone towers. We now save $105/month on our cell phone service with the same quality.

I dropped at and t because they are horrible at everything and switched to Verizon. I've thought about changing but where we are it's difficult to find a carrier with good reception and verizon provides that. The Tracfone idea is interesting.

we dropped verizon for t-mobile a few years ago. the main reason was that verizon at the time had really crappy global service and t-mobile was much better for international travel.

i've been happy with t-mobile for the most part, but they do have service issues when you get out into the boonies sometimes, but that seems to slowly be getting better.

Well, we're with T-Mobile perforce, because they're the only reception we have up here on Monte Sano. Service people who have other carriers have to borrow our landlines. However, since my kids won't stay put in the US, I have to second '92. T-Mobile is much more Europe-friendly...

Verizon tends to be a bit more expensive, but it works everywhere. I have been in the middle of nowhere in Greenville Alabama and I was the only one with a signal.
That's why I use them - I travel a great deal with my job and have found their coverage to be better. But I have not tried anyone else in a while, so that may have changed.

Same for me -- I've been in very remote parts of the southwest US on military installations and have been the only person with coverage.
