i post on another board sometimes... and an auburn fan is saying that tide players are running their mouths this week.. and even gave these quotes as proof.. im just wondering if these are legit quotes and if are players are really runnin off at the mouth this bad!!!

Another bright quote by McClain,"I feel like we're better than every team we've lost to, but our record doesn't show it," McClain told the Montgomery Advertiser.

a coworker at my work here in nashville has a brother thats a walk on at SPUAT. He said Darby and JPW called a players only meeting and said they got pretty fired up. Here is what he told me.

- They all believe they are the better team and that they will win.

-Darby has gaurenteed the team 150 yards and referred to the AU front as soft, small, and scared.

-Ramzee Robinson said cox sucks wont complete 5 passes on them over 5 yards. he also said they will push around auburns Bull (expletive) WRs. Him and Castille both said they would pick off cox

-The DL talked about Auburn fearing the thumb from them in the first half alone (5 sacks) and they said auburns OL were weak and dumb..

-Tim Castille talked about winning the game for Shula because of all the crap he's been getting and how he was the better coach in the game. He said this AU team is the most overated team he has played aginst at any level and that they cant stop the bama offense and cant move the ball against them.

Someone also brought in an auburn tshirt and andre calwell started stomping on it and then someone grabbed it and ripped it up (he didnt know who)

I don't think we've got much to be over confident about. Just because the barners got blown out by the Dawgs last week, doesn't mean they've suddenly forgotten to play football. They will be playing Alabama, they are ticked off about their performance last week, and they want to go to a good bowl game.

The Tide certainly can beat the barn, I'm sure of that. They just have to play as well or better than they did last weekend. The barn is not as talented or as deep as LSU, but they still have much more depth than the Tide. I

Some of that stuff sounds like some of the quotes we were hearing Saban said before they played Alabama a couple of years ago. The stuff about how we are cheaters and that LSU should win because of that. If I'm not mistaken, that was the game Franchione looked extremely heated at the end of the game when he was supposed to shake hands with Saban.

Sounds like another one of those "let's get our team fired up by writing crap the other team didn't do" deal.

We just need to respect our opponent (no matter how lowly they might be), line it up, and take it to them. It doesn't bother me that the players are wanting to stop the streak. I would just like to see it HAPPEN on Saturday.

I've heard quite a few interviews throughout the week, and I've yet to hear anything derogatory from either side. Seems like all the players know what Saturday means, and the history behind the game. It should be a good one, but it'll be even better if Bama stumps the thumb...
