I hope the bowl game will make everyone's list, but what regular season moments were your favorites?

For me:

5. Being at BDS for the season opener when the Tide hit the field to the tune of "Yea Alabama" and the annoucement to welcome the "2009 NC." The game against San Jose St wasn't all that good, but the pre-game was right up there!

4. The first half domination of Penn. State. Was feeling pretty good about the 2010 team at that point. Dismissed the second half slumber at that point.

3. The interception in the endzone to stop Florida's 1st quarter drive and our subsequent domination of the Gator's in the first half (not going to mention the let down at half time that would become a theme for this team -- whoops did it anyway).

2. The incredible come back against Arkansas. As it turned out this game was the anamoly in that we started slow and finished strong, but it was a great win against a quality opponent!

1. The Gmac to Julio Jones 1st quarter td pass that put us up 14-0 in the IB. Hate to say it, but that was probably the most excited I got this year.

I can't rank anything that happened during the Auburn game, honestly. I was a nervous wreck and I've never been able to enjoy that game until we've won it. I guess the high water mark of this season for me would have to be the Florida game. Probably Johnson's INT in the end zone, Moseley's INT return for a TD, and the Maze TD pass to Williams.

After that, it's the Arkansas game and the comeback. At that point, I was convinced we could win it all.

I enjoyed the Mississippi State beatdown, and blowing out Tennessee is never a bad thing. I really enjoyed watching Julio turn on the afterburners the second half of the season.

My #1 would have to be my best friend getting to play his first down this year. He played against GA State. He worked hard all year to recover from injury and is looking forward to being a #2 next year and hopefully be a #1 his junior and senior year.

I loved Julios catch from AJ at the SJSU game. Dre's INT in Ark game. Rob Ezell's Saban impersonation. My favorite memory is how loud BDS was during the first half of UF game.

Honestly there weren't too many, but I do have a few:

- The Arkansas comeback was great

-The Florida game was fun (though it later became apparent that UF was made of paper), plus I talked the gate lady into letting me in the game without a ticket, which was cool

- Despite the loss, I enjoyed going home to Columbia for the USC game and seeing my friends and family

- Also despite the loss, the 1st Qrtr/ 1st half of the Auburn game was really, really fun. The student section was literally jumping plus I smooth-talked my way into a date. For some reason I wasn't upset about that game, at least not as much as the SC and LSU losses. I guess I was just resigned to the fact that this 2010 team never had the "it" factor and was never anything special, so I wasn't surprised at all that Auburn was able to pull ahead by the end and we were unable to do anything about it. Because that was our M.O. this season. "GMac fan", you totally called it after the USC game, I take back what I said to you about our team!

3. The Arkansas game. It was the scariest moment of my life, but we won! Woohoo.

2. First half of the Auburn game. I missed the catastrophe that apparently occurred just before halftime, so that first half is pretty much untainted for me.

1. Pregame of the San Jose State game. I just remember being on the field for pregame, marching down the field during Yea, Alabama and seeing my best friend and fellow senior marching past me and thinking "Oh wow... this is our last year." Very bittersweet.

I didn't know that was possible. You might could sell ice to Eskimos!
Well it was the student section gate. I guess I am just a smooth talker and/or am good at the puppy dog look because I don't recall saying anything particularly profound, lol.

Hey if your screen name is the same as your real name I think I heard them call you out during halftime or before the game. Congrats on being a senior, and I love the MDB! :)

1. The opening game gave me reason to believe we could repeat.
2. The comeback against Arkansas gave me hope our defense could pull it out when needed.
3. The interception against Florida to stop the drive made me think we were better than anyone.

And then the bottom fell out...

Technically, we won the national title in January 2010.

It was fun until we failed to convert against South Carolina.

I really enjoyed the moment when Coaches Saban, Paterno, and Bowden were gathered at midfield before the Penn State game, and the three of them were up on the BDS jumbotrons, and the crowd was roaring its approval and appreciation. Special!

I will never be able to think of this season without our collapse in the IB rearing it's ugly head... I certainly wish I could wake up tomorrow and it be opening game day of the 2011 season...ugh...

Can't argue with that at all! It's going to be a long 8 months until the first week of September '11 rolls around.

As painful as that IB loss was, I think it also showed us how amazingly talented this team could have been. I'd don't know if I remember a more perfect quarter of football from a Bama team in recent years. The offense, defense and special teams just totally dominated the game in the first 15-20 minutes. Of course it was all for naught, cause, unlike Auburn's claim of the '09 moral victory in the IB, we know none of it matters except the W.

It's tough to call any part of the IB a top moment. I just can't think back to a game that was lost and have any good memories, despite our 1st quarter performance. It's just like the 1993 and 2004 IB's. Excellent 1st quarters/halves. Horrific 2nd halves.
