Funny, we were just trying to figure out what happened to Kyle Edwards yesterday. Still do not know what happened to him after he entered to portal. I think we will be alright. We recruit 4 and 5 deep at positions for this very reason. BRob it our bellcow and Jase is a stud but if he is out then everyone else will just have to step it up. Roydell is pretty freakin awesome and Trey will be brought along as he is able. Meanwhile, there is Camar Wheaton - from Rolltide.com:

"One of the top running back prospects in the nation and an Early Signing Day surprise for the Crimson Tide … consensus five-star prospect … No. 33 on the 247Composite, the No. 2 running back and No. 5 player in Texas … ranked as the No. 1 running back nationally, the No. 7 player in Texas and the No. 28 overall player on the Rivals100 … ESPN.com’s No. 3 running back in the country and the No. 43 player on the ESPN300 … also listed as the No. 6 player in the Midlands Region and No. 6 player in Texas by ESPN … ranked 62nd in the Top247, the site’s No. 4 running back and the No. 10 player in the state of Texas … selected to the All-American Bowl roster … played for head coach Kendall Miller at Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, Texas … the 2019 Texas District 10-6A MVP as a junior and the district’s sophomore of the year in 2017 and Newcomer of the Year in 2017 … had his senior season cut short due to COVID-19 after rushing for 603 yards (71 attempts) and eight touchdowns … rushed for 1,142 yards and 15 scores as a junior, 1,106 yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore and finished his career with 3,731 yards and 48 touchdowns at LCHS … signed with the Crimson Tide after considering Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Baylor and Colorado."

My bad, did not realize Camar was injured. How do I edit my post guys?

It's right down at bottom of your post...

We all agree we are on the edge of a precipice...and no one seems to know anything about these other 2 rbs on the roster....one was from Oak Mountain HS so I hoped someone would have seen him in HS. The other is from California...where's Jambama when we need him?

I certainly don't think Sanders is 100%, but it may be more rust than injury. If Brob and Roydell stay healthy we will be fine. I believe Williams is close to Jase in ability. I don't know if Wheaton's injury is season ending or something he might return from. Brob is a big strong back and hopefully he will endure. Saturday was the best I've seen him running. Not just running strong but brilliantly picking the holes. Like Najee he's really improved in that area.

I don't think RB catching out of backfield isn't the issue right now.. WRs are performing better on the field. As long Young keep making his throws and they catch the ball, We shouldn't have to worry about RBs catching pass unless they call for it. Robinson has been real good this year and Williams will step up, kid looking better each time he plays. Im just hoping Sanders are part of rotation this coming saturday.

True, but you want to take advantage of mismatches, and that has the potential to be a huge one. That is why teams do it. And if you want to be able to do it when you need to (think Najee down the stretch last year), you need to get the reps in early.

yes, i agree 100 percent. Now the more I think about it, Young rarely checked down to RBs in the game against Ole miss and I think they were open couple of the time.. I'll hav eto go back and check.

On just about every sack Bryce took, there was a RB pretty much wide open near the sidelines.

Feel like I am getting off the topic a bit, but IMO most of the sacks Bryce has taken this year could have been avoided. Not all of course, but most seem to be him holding the ball too long, not throwing it away, or not taking off and running. Maybe that is what he has been coached to do(not run too much), but mostly I think it is just that he is a true sophomore with only a few starts under his belt. I think he will definitely improve with more experience.

So JM got hurt and it's season-ending. What happened?

And what's wrong with CW? He was supposed to be the next "young buck" that might get some freshman carries like most of our recent successful backs.

There have been many times Young has left the pocket looking downfield as he is suppose to do, but there was plenty of green grass in front of him to gain some additional yardage. He kept waiting for the receiver to break coverage, if he didn't then he threw it away rather than running. I have a suspicion that is what he taught to do rather than risk injury. It harkens back to Tua running and getting hurt, but Young's backups have little to no experience unlike Jalen did.

Torn ACL for McClellan on his first carry of 3rd quarter. He limped to the sideline without help, so it did not look serious at the time. CW has a torn meniscus from fall camp. I really hope we have no more injuries, but especially at RB and linebacker.

Did some let Cochran on campus?
