Thanks for the highlight video. Looks like a lot of those running plays were in the ace package with the QB in the pistol. Interesting because I haven't seen too much of that at the HS level.

I wonder if he will wear #4 for Bama since Maze is graduating. Can't wait to see this young man at ADay.

After checking his video out and listening to what folks said at the AL-MS All Star Game, the major adjustment TJY is going to have on the collegiate level is to begin developing a mindset of running vertically rather than horizontally. In most of our bread and butter running plays, there's more of a downhill flow while running right or left and then cutting upfield when the hole presents itself. No doubt he has the tools.

What's really funny about the whole Auburn thing is that it's pretty obvious that this one hurt them DEEPLY, yet they keep trying to justify it as if he was afraid of the depth over there. They are trying to have it both ways. They want the guy badly, then try to make it seem like he's scared of competition. Some of those guys are talking up their DC like Yeldon have to compete with a bunch of proven world beaters there, but act like Lacy is all we have.

If he's afraid of competition, why would you want him anyway, and if you don't want him, why do you keep complaining about him not wanting to be there?

Edit: Sorry sanjosecrimson, didn't see your post. But yeah, the posts I saw they didn't even mention Hart and Fowler. It was basically "all Bama has is Lacy so TJY automatically steps into the #2 spot there" kind of stuff. Hilarious.
The boogs don't know whether they're washing or hanging out......their very next post is likely to be "hope TJ enjoys riding the bench". There is a lot of that sentiment on their boards.

A typical post by a "fan" on Yeldon flipping to Bama and this guy has over 4800 posts. Now really just how delusional are these people with an aubrens slant?

"My train of thought was that if he ever were to want to come back to Auburn. I hate what he done, but he's a gamer and I am sure we'd take him back.

A kid wavering and changing his mind would be one thing. This guy deliberately took part in a scheme that required him to lie to Auburn coaches right up until the last minute. I don't think he'd ever be welcomed back, he's not Auburn material."

These people are just plain SICK!!!

:BigA: Maybe he didnt want to be sitting on the bench like Dyer in their bowl game like Dyer because of their depth. Ha Ha

SIAP, but I thought this was a pretty cool interview with Yeldon after the AL-MS All Star Game. I love his response to having a few weeks off between now and the AAA Game.

Has anyone who's seen Yeldon have a good feel for him as far as his ability to break tackles and get tough yards up the middle?

Clearly from his highlights, he's great once he gets past the line of scrimmage and into the open field, but those kinds of runs are pretty much the only ones shown.

With our OL, there will be plenty of those opportunities........

I have not seen anymore than his highlight videos than what is posted here but I think this will not be an issue once Coach Burns and Coach Cochran spend a little time with him.

Well given Daphne plays in a spread offense, you're not going to see any h.s. highlights of him toughing it out up the middle. We'll be fine.
