With all due respect to Gabe McKenzie, I feel Gabe should be honored that Bama (or AU ) is offering. I've been watching for the last 3 years. Great player...not yet, potential...yes, would need a RS and a year or so. JMHO.

add another RB from FL to the Tide's target list:

Jamelle (or Jemalle) Eugene

BOL Profile
BamaMag Profile

I would think that the 4.5 is closer than the 4.72 listed on BOL. The BamaMag profile is very encouraging:

Naples was home to one of the state’s best backs a few years ago named Duane Coleman, who now plays at Clemson. He didn’t get all the media attention as some other backs that year and the same is the case with Eugene this year. He’s the real deal, like Coleman was. I watched Eugene play a couple times last year, including in the state title game. All he needs is a small crack and the next thing you know, he’s five yards downfield. He has the ability to make people miss, change direction, and then run away from defenders. He had over 2,000 yards as a junior last season after suffering a knee injury as a sophomore. He’s a great athlete who also participates in track (35+ on the triple jump and sub 11.2 in the 100m). Naples coach Bill Kramer will be the first to tell you how tough and competitive Eugene is.

Bama's class currently ranked 15th by Rivals

I wonder if the fact that we dont have many skilled people is hurting our ranking.I know the ranking doesn't really amount to anything but I really like the direction we have went in recuriting this year. We're getting what we need, those BIGNASTY's.If you take the skill people out I wonder were we might be ranked?

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
Terrelle Smith has all but put Auburn and Alabama off his list anyway. I live in Shreveport, La and was watching the Huddle House recruiting show on FoxSouthwest and Terrelle said that Alabama and Auburn had moved to the bottom of his list because they're not the pass oriented offense he wants to be in. He said that Clemson right now is very high on his list.
