I know that I should know better but, I was listening to the UMP last night (a mistake, I readily admit) and they paraded Aubie after Aubie through the phone circus. One after the other it was "War" this and "War" that...without fail they all mentioned the Barn's dominance over UA in recruiting...it was raining and I nearly wrecked in disgust at the sheer ignorance of trdtr (those rednecks down the road). Please, please, please if there's an Aubie in your office offer to EDUCATE him.The most common theme I heard last night was "Ya'll don't know this yet, but the Plainsmen are going to have a top 5 recruiting class and Alabama will be lucky fill all their schollies". Reach out to those misinformed people a fetish for orange. If you enjoy speaking with Thom Abraham, call him and get him on the bandwagon...he'll agree with whatever you tell him...it'll break Barney's heart.

After Aaron Sears, Jayson Swain, Jason Allen, et al, it is obvious that the Vols need to work Alabama more. The heck with Barney.
BTW, y'all rooting the Vols over AU this Saturday?

The Barn fans are either in denial or they don't follow Bama recruiting very closely. Bama is in good shape to have a fine year recruiting. I wouldn't waste too much time listening to what Barners think about Bama myself.

I do know that Auburn just received a commitment from one of the best LBs in the country Tray Blackmon from LaGrange, GA. It looks like they will have a good year recruiting.

As a fellow Athens resident I must ask you to remove 730am from your radio tuner. I have never liked that station. They bring in individuals from the north and they try to adapt to Southern sports. They have NO clue. Never have and never will. The only one with any sense of humility was Doug Franz and he wised up and left.
What should you listen to as an alternative???
That is a good question. While I admit to listening to Finebaum I also listen to 93.9 FM out of Florence. That is ESPN radio but their afternoon show is not that great either.
1450am (ESPN too) has former Channel 19 sportcaster Harold Bugg on in the afternoons. He attempts to be fair.

Nevertheless, I urge you and anyone else..........please remove the UMP from your dial.
JMO though.

I just listened to WUMP with the link on the Bama Team News Board. Tim Watts from BOL was on the Tom Abraham show talking recruiting.

You are right about the "indidviduals from the North" (PC) lol. I actually noticed the accents on the pre-game shows and while listening to some of their different programs. If does sound like a radio feed from up north and not Huntsville. You do have to wade through the Barners and Tennesse fans. I like the WUMP because they broadcast Bama football and basketball games.

Tom Abraham said Bama had a good recruiting class last year and Tim Watts said Bama dominated Alabama recruiting last year and they are having an excellent recruiting year so far. He said Auburn doing so well in football this year would not affect the state of Alabama recruiting but if would help Auburn in recruiting in Georgia, Florida, and surrounding states.

Watts said that as of today RB Roy Upchurch's co-leaders are Bama and FSU. He said if FSU fills up their RB slots then look for Upchurch to commit to Bama.

He also said that RB Mikell Simpson's favorites are Bama and Virginia and he thinks that if distance doesn't play a factor then he thinks Simpson is close to a Bama commitment.

Watts said J.P. Wilson has grown an inch to 6' 2" and added muscle weight since he signed with Bama in February. He said that Jimmy Barnes is bigger and stronger than Wilson and that both QBs are real smart with pretty good futures.

Watts said TE Tommy Trott is torn between Bama and Auburn. Trott is looking for the best fit and where he will get on the field the earliest. Watts said he thinks that Trott is more loyal to Bama but Trott thinks he may get to play earlier at Auburn.

Watts also said that RB Ali Sharrief is committed to Auburn and they are his childhood favorites but he likes what he saw at Bama. He said Sharrief is seriously interested in Bama.

Watts said S Chris Keys is committed to LSU but he intends on taking an official visit to Bama. "Internet Rumor" is that LSU is going to pull the scholarship offer if he visits Bama.

Watts said DE Wes Brown is committed to Tennessee but he liked what he saw at Alabama also.

He left the impression that Sharrief, Keys and Brown are all seriously interested in Alabama.
