I think this means we get him. The only way I see him going to Georgia Tech is if we don't have room for him, and if he's received an LOI from 'Bama, we've got room.

I dont really see us turning him down for any reason, if he wants to come to bama I think it happens. He's the one I'll be watching the closest tomorrow. Also I see no real advantage for a defensive player to go to Ga Tech and become a glorified slolum for their offenses practices.

Bingo.

Yeah, the Jonathan Colon recruiting saga brings back memories. It's the most bizarre signing day & post signing-day recruiting saga that I remember. The mom wanted UF, while the son wanted Miami. LOI's for both schools were signed and delivered and it came down to the date & time each were signed. Miami even threatened to sue Colon.

On Watt's Twitter page JC Shurburtt says he is hearing Bama in trending for Korren Kirven. Do you think the two Watts is talking about are Kirven and Tomlinson? Would we take two DL?

Luginbill was just on Finebaum and he said don't be surprised if we get Kirven. That must be making the rounds.

Yes. I thought what he said about some other teams taking a chance on someone who may not qualify (e.g. Gladney or some other player) was interesting. That may open up some room for someone else. I have said this before. I'll say it again. Regardless of whether we end up at #1, I am very happy with this class. There may be a couple of "surprises" but I don't see much happening that we wouldn't anticipate.

Chop, the only possible mitigating factor is that we asked him to wait. Tech made him its top lineman priority. Sure seems his heart is with us, but Tech has loved him longer.

Great news on Kirven. Always prefer two scoops to one.

That's a good factor. But if the girl you really want finally shows interest, it's tough to turn her down for the ugly step-sister.

I was thinking Tomlinson's offer had conditions up to a certain time frame but I don't know that for sure.

Who knows if it's accurate, but there's been a lot of talk on different boards about Tomlinson having to wait for Goldman to decide.

I noticed that McCullars committed to Tennessee. He is the great looking Juco DL. I thought he was very interested in Bama, some were saying a lock. Does anyone know the story?
