Remaining Recruits for this class

Expect OL Javion Cohen to flip to Bama from Auburn. He is currently still an Auburn commit, but stated that he will make a final decision between the two on signing day. He also stated that only one of the schools is still recruiting him...Bama is still recruiting him...basically Auburn saw the writing on the wall, and changed focus.

Yeah we backed off when he decided he wanted to play it for drama. Pretty frustrating, and you can hardly blame the staff when a supposed "commit" wants to play games like that. He was straight up told we weren't going to play that game.

I mean, just decommit.

I admire the approach, but in today’s recruiting that philosophy will get you left out in the cold.

Really funny post! Did Shula ever have a class in the top 30? Anyway, one good story from the Shula ad-hoc school of recruiting was a kid that showed out in the Alabama-Misssissippi All Star Game. A stud by the name of Wallace Gilberry. Last time I checked that dude was still in the League.

Perhaps I am too close to the edge, It's probably due to having to watch two true freshman linebackers struggle to line up correctly all year because all the older guys we recruited were even worse than them. Except of course for the now ANNUAL "lost for the season" guys and the "left for the NFL after 1 season starting" guys.

Somewhat related, I saw an Andrew Bone premium message today that said Damieon George has had a change in plans. Wondering if it is related to Cohen and possibly taking his spot.

George was scheduled to wait until February to sign due to concerns with his grades. Looks like he has his grades in order because the change is that he will be signing next week during the early signing period.

JUMP!!!
***Clearly not literal, but do not want to offend anyone these days...

Auburn straight up yanked Cohen's scholarship offer today. Been a while since we've done that. Think the last time we did it was Lache Seastrunk in 2009.

Interesting since there have been rumblings of a flip for a while now. I don't guess that came out just so it does not look like Bama did indeed flip him, especially since the kid plays only 30 minutes from Auburn just wondering.....

The writing has been on the wall for a while now. He's been doing stuff on social media, RTing and liking stuff bashing Auburn. He's pretty much been a commit-in-name-only.

Auburn knows where he wants to go, isn't going to waste any more time on him and isn't going to let him play it for drama at their expense.

Sorry, that is wrong. If this is true and I were Saban, I wouldn't have anything to do with him. He is committed to Auburn. If he wants to switch, fine, but de-commit and respect the school that offered you a scholarship.
